MISSIONS
We are looking for qualified and passionate teachers to provide quality teaching at our school, a member of the French Schools Abroad network. In addition to teaching the academic curriculum, our teachers support students in their personal and intellectual development, and contribute to the development of key skills such as communication, creativity, teamwork, critical thinking and autonomy. These skills are essential for academic, professional and social success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach English in middle school and high school (including the LLCE specialization) in line with French curriculum
- And/or teach English literature in the British International Section (Cambridge/Ministère Education Nationale partnership) and possibly BFI
- Design and implement learning or teaching situations based on French programs and standards
- Convey subject knowledge
- Design and implement assessment methods of student’s learnings, in liaison with other teachers or professional partners
- Ensure students acquire skills including capacities, attitudes and procedural knowledge
- Be an expert in the conduct of a class and foster the interest and participation of students
- Provide personalised follow-up of students in relation with families and participate in their orientation project
- Contribute to the school’s operation and to teamwork
- Adapt his/her teaching to the diversity of students by providing each of them with the necessary support, and measure their achievements
- Use information and communication technologies to support learnings
- Exercise of specific functions (coordination, form teacher, etc.)
SKILLS, ABILITY AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
- English Native speaker or CEFR C1 level minimum
- Recognised qualification in Teaching (Master of Education, PGCE, PGDE, CAPES)
- Deep understanding of the subject and the curriculum
- Experience in teaching in Middle and High school is preferable and in particular on a terminal cycle
- Knowledge of the French curriculum is an advantage
- Organisational and interpersonal skills
- Responsiveness and availability
- Adaptability and benevolence
- Very good writing and speaking skills
- Strong teamwork skills and committed to making projects successful
- Experience as a Form teacher and coordination for the students' career orientation plan would be strong benefit
- Mastery of digital tools
- Able to adapt to French-speaking and non-French-speaking students
- Able to provide instructions suited to a wide variety of students
- Able to work in a transversal and multidisciplinary way
- A good command of French is appreciated for supporting bilingual students and families
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Full time position (18h of teaching/week)
- Remuneration will be based on company salary scale
- Starting date: end of August 2025
