SERI, the research arm of SNEC, was established in 1997 with the mission to conduct high-impact eye research that prevents blindness, low vision and major eye diseases in Singapore. Till date, SERI has conducted landmark research projects that have led to tangible outcomes, patient benefits and success stories. What you'll do:
- Work with the research team and product managers to ideate software solutions.
- Develop robust production-grade web applications and services that are efficient and reusable.
- Develop front-end applications with a mobile response design.
- Design and develop APIs
- Work closely with operations/infrastructure to build saleable back-end services
- Implement automated testing strategies to improve security, performance, and usability.
- Prepare software documentation for quality compliance and regulatory audits.
- Actively learn and share knowledge on new architectures, frameworks, and technologies with the team.
What you'll need to have:
- A bachelor’s or higher degree in the field of computer science, software engineering, or related field
- At least five years’ experience as a full-stack developer with a strong portfolio of related projects.
- Highly proficient in web/mobile front-end technologies like ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of multiple back-end languages including Golang, .NET, PHP, Java, Python and Rust.
- Proficient with API development (REST, MQTT, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, CouchDB, PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud hosing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google cloud.
- Working experience with modern DevOps build chains, using Jenkins, Git
- Experience working using Microservice Architecture framework and Micro frontends for application development
- Knowledge of full-stack development for AI/ML and IoT applications.
- Ability to prototype and demonstrate design concepts.
- Able to work on different projects simultaneously
- Prior experience in developing software solutions for healthcare applications is desired
