We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an ASEAN Equity Research Analyst.

Principal Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Equity Research Analyst will work closely with senior analysts in ASEAN region, assist in analysing and covering ASEAN-listed companies and sectors. This role involves creating and maintaining detailed financial models, writing research reports, supporting the efforts of senior analysts and contributing to investment recommendations for our clients.

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial models and valuation for ASEAN companies. Maintain and update financial database
• Conduct thorough industry and company research including analyzing financial statements, industry trends, and macroeconomic factors to support investment thesis
• Draft research reports, providing insights on financial performance, industry trends and investment ideas
• Track and interpret market news, economic developments and company-specific events, and provide actionable investment ideas
• Assist in preparing materials and presentations for client meetings, liaise company - client meetings and fulfil client requests
• Participate in earnings calls, investor conferences and company meetings, develop corporate and industry contacts

Qualifications

• Handling of Vietnamese speaking clients and documents in Vietnamese. Vietnamese language capability required
• Strong analytical, quantitative, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques and financial modelling
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English, proficiency in additional ASEAN language is a plus
• Team player, diligent, organised and inquisitive

Based in Singapore and supporting Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia, you will contribute to the firm, by developing analysis and conveying insights to enhance clients’ decision making. Required attributes:

• First-class or high second-class degree in a quantitative subject (Mathematics, Economics, Science, Engineering or Finance).
• Proficiency in English and Malay language is a must to be able to collect data and information from Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.

We are seeking for a skilled and motivated Quantitative Research Analyst to join our Quantamental Investment team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and implementation of quantitative trading and investment strategies. As a Quantitative Research Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects and contribute to the success of our investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough backtesting of trading strategies using historical market data to evaluate performance, identify potential risks, and validate assumptions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in calculating and backtesting various factors that drive stock returns, including but not limited to value, momentum, size, quality, and volatility. Identify and research new factors or alpha signals that have the potential to generate superior risk-adjusted returns, conducting rigorous analysis to validate their efficacy and robustness.
• Monitor and analyze real-time market data, news, and events to adapt trading strategies and make informed investment decisions in dynamic market conditions.
• Document research methodologies, findings, and results in clear and concise reports, presentations, and research notes for internal stakeholders and clients.
• Mentor junior members of the research team and provide guidance on quantitative methods, programming techniques, and best practices.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• No prior experience required in the equity market, with a strong background in factor investing strategies. Candidates with experience in China A-share market and US market are preferred.
• Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, and C++.
• A keen interest in investment, strong learning ability, excellent teamwork skills, self-driven, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members across different regions and departments.
