The Early Mental Potential & Wellbeing Research Centre’s mission is to maximise every child’s mental and emotional capital by uplifting neurodevelopmental trajectories during early sensitive periods through interdisciplinary discovery science and translational technologies.

Toward this aim, we engage in 3 major activities and thrusts:

1) Core Discovery Research, Empowering Science: Basic neuroscience research and advanced computational models to understand individual neurocognitive potential, developmental trajectories, and risk and resilience factors;

2) Translation to Clinic & Pedagogy, Empowering Practitioners: Developing precision assessment and intervention tools to optimise parent-child social and mental health within clinical, education and community settings;

3) Translation to Real-World Technologies, Empowering Families: Creating scalable solutions and real-world technologies for parents to enhance their child’s mental and cognitive wellbeing at home.

We are looking for an experienced full-time IT / Data Research Engineer to support major research programmes being conducted by the EMPOWER Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct internal user requirement analysis, participate in solution design, planning and deploying of IT and data management solutions for the Centre’s research needs.
• Work closely with colleagues on procurement, preparation and publishing of tender specifications, as well as in evaluating and recommending potential solutions and/or vendors, contract management etc.
• Liaise closely with the Centre’s researchers and administrative staff to optimise the current data management system and to develop and maintain local networks.

Job Requirements:

• 2-3 years of working experiences in a fast-paced commercial / industry setting is desirable.
• S/he will also provide technical support for research dissemination activities, which may include workshops, seminars and public outreach activities.

Curriculum and Instructional Responsibilities:

Scope of Work/Job Description

• Facilitate election training both in-person and virtually to appointed public officers in the form of hands-on simulated exercises with election equipment in groups, scenario discussions and mass briefings
• Review and prepare training/briefing materials/content
• Responsible for training administration (including preparation of logistical requirements) for each training session
• Consolidate feedback from training participants, prepare training feedback report to Management and modify training delivery for constant improvement
