The School of Social Sciences invites applications for the position of Research Assistant.
A successful candidate will be involved in a project involving the collection of daily mental health and well-being in Singapore. The incumbent will spend most of their time coding and maintaining the mobile applications that will allow us to collect high-frequency well-being data. The length of the Research Assistant position will be 1 year.
The incumbent will work together with Prof Nattavudh Powdthavee and Prof Dusit Niyato at NTU. The incumbent will also have to liaise with individuals outside the team to handle any administrative work regarding the project. Therefore, good research, communication, and management skills, as well as the ability to work independently are a must. The Research Assistant will be supervised by Prof Nattavudh Powdthavee (Economics, NTU) and Prof Dusit Niyato (Computer Science, NTU).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain mobile applications for both Android and iOS smartphones to collect happiness data from users.
Create and maintain a website and social media page to promote the applications and their results.
Prepare, analyse, and present the results in various forms including academic papers, online media, visualization, and videos.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields
Experience in developing mobile applications
Experience in data analytics and visualization
