Main Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning & Development Manager to join our pre-opening team for the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree.

This will be an excellent opportunity for HR professionals to shape the culture and set the standards for Human Capital practices for the new Resort. The incumbent will deepen and advance their HR career by being involved in the formulation and setting up of the HR department and HR policies for the new Resort.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for cultivating and embedding Banyan Tree’s culture and ethos in the organization.
• Ensure that our vision, mission, core values (IDEALS), Banyan Tree Roots and brand positioning are key aspects of the Resort’s Employee Value Proposition.
• Promote and inculcate a culture of continuous learning
• Conduct regular training needs analysis, and formulate an annual training plan for the Resort.
• Design and curate various training programs to meet both the Resort’s and individual’s learning and development needs.
• Conduct training and orientation programs, core training programs and other related development programs to strengthen the bench-strength of the organization.
• Measure the effectiveness of the training programs. Monitor and advise on the effectiveness, produce data and report on performance, measuring them against specified indicators. Propose strategic and tactical interventions where needed.
• Support Banyan Tree’s Talent Management Programs. This includes recommending outsourcing of training courses and, if and when required, provide suggestions for inviting external resource speakers as part of training programs. The incumbent will also ensure that high potential associates undergo appropriate development programs and activities.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field. Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment (ACTA) will be advantageous.
• Proven track record of 7 to 10 years’ experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the hospitality industry. The candidate should have a proven track record of formulating and developing L&D strategies and programs.
• Experience in curating training courses, conducting and delivering training programs will be required. This should be complemented with a strong understanding of instructional design frameworks and applications.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Able to handle matters independently, and able to exercise self-motivation to complete projects.

About the Role – You will:

• Lead Global Training Programs: Drive the end-to-end rollout of global training initiatives, ensuring they align with the organization's objectives and strategic priorities. Coordinate with international teams to adapt and implement programs across diverse cultural contexts.
• Content Creation and Curation: Spearhead the development and curation of engaging learning content, utilizing various formats and delivery methods to cater to the diverse needs of our global workforce. Stay abreast of the latest trends in educational technology and adult learning to create impactful learning experiences.
• Program Evaluation: Design and implement robust evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives. Utilize After Action Reviews (AAR) and other evaluation tools to gather feedback, make informed decisions, and continually refine training strategies based on data-driven insights.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including subject matter experts, department heads, and global teams, to identify training needs and gaps. Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and analysis to inform the development of targeted learning solutions.
• Logistics Management: Manage all aspects of program logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and vendor management. Ensure the seamless execution of training activities, from planning through to implementation and follow-up.

About You

You are a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Specialist who leads the end-to-end rollout of our global training programs.

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for spearheading content creation initiatives, evaluating program effectiveness, and liaising with stakeholders to identify and address training gaps.
• This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for learning and development, who can manage program logistics and contribute to our organization's success by developing and delivering high-quality learning experiences that align with our strategic priorities.

Your Experience Includes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPD, ATD) is a plus.
• Proven experience in Learning and Development, Training, or a related field, preferably with a focus on global or multicultural program management.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for creating engaging and effective learning materials.
• Proficient in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms, along with familiarity with the latest educational technologies and learning methodologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and with individuals at all levels of the organization, including cross-functional and international teams.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, with a focus on delivering measurable results and continuous improvement.

Job Description

SEPPURE Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Engineer to join our Applications Team in Singapore. The Research Engineer will work closely with the team to develop flatsheet and hollow fibre membranes for organic solvent nanofiltration applications. The Research Engineer will also be required to plan and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of membranes, based on robust engineering and scientific techniques. The Research Engineer may also be required to assist in the evaluation of data and provide recommendations for membrane development.

• Keep up-to-date with latest membrane technology development
• Support the development of dope formulation for membrane fabrication
• Modify processes to improve membrane performance
• Develop methods for membrane characterisation and performance evaluation
• Ensure high repeatability for experiments and data collection
• Maintain documentation and databases for research and development

Qualifications

Must have:

1. B.Sc in chemical engineering or related fields
2. Good understanding of polymer chemistry, design of experiment, data analysis and process troubleshooting
3. Good problem-solving skills
4. Team player with strong communication skills

Good to have:

1. Working experience in developing hollow fiber or flat sheet membranes
