Contract Period:

• From 1 Jan 2025 to 31 Dec 2025.

Deployment:

• Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 3.30pm, inclusive of one (1) hour lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Scope of works:

• To provide teaching and learning support to teachers such as preparation of resources / materials for Science laboratory activities, enrichment programmes and competitions, etc;
• To assist to source and purchase materials for laboratory activities, practical tests and enrichment programme and to aid science teachers with the clearing up after laboratory lessons and when required;
• To assist to prepare forms and expenditures claims and keep copies of invoices and receipts;
• To label and keep records of existing and new Science teaching and learning materials and laboratory apparatus such as teachers’ desk copies, reference books, DVDs, lab apparatus and chemicals, etc;
• To maintain loan records of Science Resources;
• To pack and organize the resources in the Science Rooms. Ensure that the Science rooms are clean and conducive for lessons;
• To ensure laboratory equipment, materials and specimens are in good working conditions. Conduct stock-take at least twice a year. Assist to update the stock record and breakage record to initiate ordering of replacements, when necessary;
• To ensure proper disposal of waste materials such as sharp waste objects and chemicals;
• To ensure safety of students in the Science rooms. Record and report any incidents to Science HOD / LH. Maintain a laboratory incident log book;
• To check that safety devices in the laboratory, such as emergency eye-washers, showers and fire extinguishers are working;
• To perform any duties assigned by the Science HOD / Level Representative.

Job Description

• Answer the incoming phone enquiries.
• Provide course consultation and ensure proper follow-up.
• Handle and resolve general feedback and complaints.
• Perform general administrative duties, such as data entry and filing.
• Processing of new student registration and payment.
• Provide administrative support to trainer and learners, such as preparation of materials for classes.
• Oversee daily operations of the classess.
• Manage office supplies, equipment, and inventory levels.
• Work with business partner to develop and manage class schedules.
• Organize room/location assignments and ensure proper classroom allocation.
• Assist in ad-hoc matters when necessary.

Requirements

• Skilled in office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
• Minimum O Level or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in an administrative or office management role, preferably in an educational or enrichment centre setting.

Job Role and Responsibilities

· You are responsible in meeting the overall educational and social needs of children under your care.

· You are to assess children with learning and developmental issues identified by preschool teachers using the prescribed screening tools.

· You are expected to provide differentiated intervention approach to the children in the areas of educational needs, behavioral learning, social and social communication skills

· You are expected to develop Child Specific Education Plan where needed and progress reports to your superior

· You will conduct intervention through support packages to Developmental Support-Learning Support (DS-LD) children

· You are to work co-operatively with families and pre-schools to support children’s learning and development

· You are to provide in-class support to children whom received intervention packages, ensuring goals set achieved during sessions with the DS-LS children and are generalized into classroom

Job Requirements

· Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Learning Support (SDELS)

· Minimum 2 years working experiences in the early childhood sector as Learning Support Educator

· Possess good communication skills and the ability to engage children

· Nurturing and dedicated to the development and well-being of children

· Self-driven team player with a positive attitude

· Able to work independently with minimum supervision
