This project will study and propose feasible solution to retrofit existing coastal protection structures. Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation (GCMD)

Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation was established as a non-profit organisation in August 2021 following the recommendation of the International Advisory Panel for Maritime Decarbonisation established by Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore in 2020. The mission of this centre is to help the maritime industry eliminate its greenhouse gas emissions by shaping standards, deploying solutions, financing projects and fostering collaboration across sectors.

This centre is strategically located in Singapore, the world’s largest maritime bunkering hub and second largest transhipment container port, and will coordinate regional and global decarbonisation efforts.

Responsibilities:

The Associate is a member of the Research & Projects team and will report to the Director of Research & Projects.

Strategic Planning and Execution Roles

• Support the Research & Projects team on the progress of assigned projects and programs

Operational Roles

• Project management

-Design detailed workplans and monitor progress against them

-Manage relationships with stakeholders

-Host periodic stakeholder meetings, take meeting minutes, and deliver internal updates

-Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

-Coordinate staffing, resources, schedules, and timelines

-Oversee all documentation and record keeping

-Ensure proper adherence to the procurement policies and audit requirements

-Optimise and improve processes where necessary

• Facilitate the collation of project related data
• Generate final project report
• Evaluate received project related proposals

External Engagement Roles

• Engage with industry, institutes of higher learning and knowledge centres to keep abreast with developments
• Work closely with relevant government agencies to commence projects / pilots

Qualifications:

Associate

• Minimum degree from a recognised University in engineering or sciences
• Minimum 5 years working experience as a project manager with at least 3 years, any role, in the maritime or energy sector

Overall

• Knowledge and experience with project management of operational, construction or field work type of projects will be highly advantageous.
• Good understanding on maritime decarbonisation related issues.
• Strong command of the English language and writing skills
• Strong organizational skills and good attention to detail
• Passionate about sustainability and maritime decarbonisation
• Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure

Job Summary

As the Learning designer, the job holder is responsible for design and develop eLearning lessons, which include courseware design and training content creation.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Review and develop curriculum design incorporating technology and relevant learning pedagogies.

• Develop and review of lesson plans, instructional materials, manuals, aide memoire and learning resources.

• Develop and review of Assessment criteria, tests, assignments and examination papers.

• Design and development of e-learning content that consist of an assortment of media types such as video, animation and other instructional technologies.

• Work with Project Manager (PM) team to define courseware scope (level of interactivity, objective, timeline and etc).

• Conduct needs analysis with the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to gather courseware requirements and content.

• Work with the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design courseware for effective learning, by providing advice on learning/instructional design for adult learning.

• Develop, conceptualize and edit storyboard that will be translated into finished interactive content.

Job Specifications

EDUCATION

Degree in any discipline. Preference is given to degree in instructional design, education, psychology, instructional technology or related qualifications. Post-graduate qualification in Education or Instructional Design will be an advantage. Possess a Diploma in Adult Continuation Education (DACE), equivalent or higher qualification by an accredited training institution (WDA – accredited CETs) or from Institute of Higher Learning such as NIE.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise and implement the programme for the class in accordance with centre’s policies and framework
• Complete progress reports on children for each semester and prepare a developmental portfolio for each child

• Work with the Centre Supervisor and ensure the safety and well-being of each individual child.

• Maintain an appropriate atmosphere of safety, learning, and fun.
• Assist the Centre Supervisor on student enrolment, expense, manpower, operations and etc.
• Engage the children under the Centre care and perform classroom-teaching duties in accordance to the curriculum developed by APSN
• Supervise the student’s activities in the Centre and engage them actively.
• Work with the Centre Supervisor and reporting to school leaders on SCC matters, according to the requirements of Ministry of Education.
• Work with parents/teaching staff regarding student behavioral or learning problems, and recommends methods of modifying inappropriate behaviour and encouraging learning experiences.

Requirements

• Min Diploma with 1-3 years of relevant working experience in the social service sector. Entry level candidates are welcome to apply.
