ISCE2 is actively looking for a passionate Scientist with proven track record in chemical biology, biocatalysis or biotechnology research to join our multi-disciplinary team to develop next generation green and sustainable technology for the manufacturing of fine and specialty chemicals.

Key responsibilities:
The successful candidate may be responsible for but not limited to:
- Design and develop biocatalytic systems or enzymes for the sustainable (bio)-production of chemicals
- Comfortable in the use of advanced technology, including AI/machine learning to help accelerate development
- Able to lead an independent study
- Analyze data and present research findings at conferences, meetings, and to stakeholders while maintaining accurate records
- Write and publish high impact papers in peer-reviewed journals, alongside preparation of technical disclosures, patent applications
- Supervise and mentor junior researchers, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
- Devise both exploration and industrial proposals to seek competitive funding
- Other RI and lab wide duties as assigned by the manager
Requirements:
- PhD in Chemistry, Biocatalysis, Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, Protein engineering or its equivalent
- Strong background in biocatalysis, protein engineering, chemistry, molecular biology and/or biotechnology
- More than 2 years of post-PhD experience preferred
- In depth experience with PCR, protein expression, and/or analytical techniques such as biochemical assays, spectroscopy and chromatography
- Adaptable to team-oriented goals and requirements
- Rigorous data analysis, interpretation, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral/written communication, documentation and organization skills
- Meticulous, attention to details and organized
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task
