Job Scope:
- Lead the site safety team to ensure comprehensive site safety management and performance.
- Develop, update, and implement the Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Management System to effectively manage risks and prevent accidents.
- Investigate all on-site incidents, taking corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Review and revise risk assessments to ensure compliance with current safety standards.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of WSH regulations and ensure adherence to them.
- Enforce safety policies in line with the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory safety requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of site safety practices to ensure all personnel adhere to safety policies and standards.
- Alert stakeholders about any machinery, equipment, or activities that pose risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit safety documents to clients, contractors, and the WSH Corporate Department.
- Drive the development of a strong safety culture within the company.
- Ensure the effectiveness of fire protection systems and the readiness of the Emergency Response Team for both office and factory environments.
- Promote safety awareness and healthy work conditions through training, campaigns, drills, and other activities.
- Liaise with statutory bodies on WSH licenses and permits, staying updated on changes to relevant regulations and requirements.
- Conduct fire safety and emergency preparedness training for employees.
- Provide regular updates to management on WSH performance and areas for continual improvement.
- Work closely with external security service providers to ensure the effectiveness of services rendered to the organization.
- Implement a continuous improvement process for the WSH management system to enhance safety practices.
Requirement:
- Registered as a WSH Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a WSH Officer.
- Candidates with less than 3 years of experience may be considered for a Junior WSH Officer role.
- Relevant qualifications in Workplace Safety & Health or Engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
