Specific Requirements:

Responsibilities:   

Finding Candidates:

• Scope of Work: NPI (New Product Introduction) and mass production, for assigned product (module, sub-assembly, or instrument level).
• Product Quality, Yield, and Cycle Time: Lead cross functional team to drive continuous product and quality performance improvement i.e. factory yield, DEFOA, warranty/Annual Failure Rate and production efficiency (yield and cycle time).

Job Description

The Materials/Procurement Engineer is located at Singapore, reports to the Technical Procurement Manager and is responsible for sourcing and qualification of suppliers to fulfill the operation need covering mechanical commodities and/or electro-mechanical commodity for product lines that produces Agilent’s state of the art instruments. He/she will be tasked to collaborate NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineering team, operational & strategic procurement team and production engineering to setup materials/procurement engineering capability and supply chain to ensure the successful deployment of the product line in Singapore.

• Perform RFQ and total cost analysis. Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost, and quality to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent
• Typically, more than 8 years’ experience in mechanical & electro-mechanical or electrical parts procurement engineering environment, supplier quality management, and/or product engineering, manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in sourcing, procurement, process engineering or supplier quality management in an MNC manufacturing environment.
• Have an analytical mind to evaluate technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and availability of parts and equipment
• Good understanding of various mechanical & electrical fabrication technologies and methods.

The Quality Lead/ Supervisor is responsible for ensuring timely and effective implementation of the company's policies, procedures, and standards involved in assuring the quality of manufactured products and customer satisfaction, as well as for conducting quality control activities. A successful candidate will collaborate closely with functional areas such as Manufacturing, Procurement, Mfg. Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, Product Lines, R&M and Geozones regularly as well as presenting to internal teams plans and updates.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead 4 Quality Control Inspectors and liaise with internal & external stakeholders.
• Maintain site Quality Management System.
• Update QMS records and maintain all necessary documentation and certificates.
