We are seeking a dynamic Staff Systems Engineer to join our Global team and build highly scalable applications. You will contribute to our expanding range of services beyond food delivery, focusing on our Developer Platform in streamlining the way we build and run software to enhance security, reliability, cost-efficiency, and productivity, while delivering exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Working with the DevOps global teams to build, maintain and monitor the infrastructure supporting the platform
• Designing and implementing robust, scalable CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes and orchestrating the cloud environment, ensuring high-quality releases with minimal manual intervention.
• Design and develop systems and tools to automate and orchestrate the cloud environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is a plus.
• Approximately 9-11 years of experience in building complex, distributed, large-scale backend systems, including microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud computing.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), with a strong understanding of leveraging them for scalable and resilient solutions.
• Proficiency in Golang is a must, with a demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) technologies for efficient deployment and management of applications.
• Experience in working with large database installations would be a plus.
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable end to end CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.
• Experience with performance monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with stakeholders across various disciplines.

Senior Backend Software Engineer, APAC

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer in Marketplace to build highly scalable applications that can be used by millions of users across APAC. You will work on one of our growing arrays of services as we diversify and expand beyond food delivery.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software that scales which will be used across the whole ecosystem of foodpanda, while ensuring the stability of the platform
• You’ll play an active role in designing and improving the overall architecture to support massive growth in users and products
• Practice modern software development methodologies such as Continuous Delivery, TDD and Scrum.

What you can bring to the table:

• >8 years of extensive experience building complex, distributed, large-scale backend systems, including concepts such as microservices, event-driven architectures, cloud computing, RESTful APIs, gRPC, etc.
