Job Description

• Develops and manages new designs in accordance with project requirements and objectives, while adhering to project milestones and schedule.
• Conduct feasibility studies, FMEA, cost analysis and material selection to support design decisions.
• Collaborate closely manufacturers, and suppliers to address technical challenges through DFM & DFA and ensure successful implementation of designs.
• Prepare and present design proposals, progress reports, and project updates to stakeholders, while abiding to timely delivery within project’s budget.
• Utilizes SolidWorks software to generate detailed 3D models and technical drawings for prototypes and production.
• Setup test plans using DOE methodology, analyze test results and iterate design to meet performance and quality standards.
• Participate in team design reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Material Engineering is required.
• Min 3 years’ design experience in a product development environment, contributing to a product’s successful delivery into series production will be preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and technical drawings, SolidWorks knowledge will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes. Knowledge in machining, metal forming, heat treatment and casting are preferred.
• Knowledgeable in design principles, such as springs, bearings and hydraulics, and in theoretical calculations related to the field of statics, dynamics and kinematics.
• Keen interest and experience in a hands on approach towards the construction of prototypes and testing.

Job Description

• Be an architect for dormakaba Plant Singapore’s digital transformation in IoT based data acquisition, data analytics and data storage with visualization on current platform setup.
• Introduce new and upcoming technology trends in IoT, machine learning and use of sensors for impacting current business practices and select solutions through research partners and strategic suppliers.
• Work with stakeholders and see through the successful applications and implementation of IoT systems
• Provide guidelines on technology transfer to production floors in Plant Singapore.
• Act as a catalyst for awareness and knowledge transfer and promote the use of IoT practices in the plants.
• Take the lead in horizontal deployment of similar practices to Plants Malacca & Suzhou as well as to offices.
• Increase knowledge and awareness of IoT systems
• Lead in IoT pilot projects in Plant Malacca

Job Requirements

• Good experience in Industrial IoT use in business processes.
• Hands on experience with data acquisition, database selection, data analytics and setup.
• Good understanding of machine learning, data analytics and visualization.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering
