Scope of Work for Site Engineer
1. Planning and Coordination
Assist in planning construction activities to meet project deadlines.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless workflow.
Prepare and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
2. Site Supervision
Oversee daily on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Monitor progress and provide updates to project management teams.
Manage labor and subcontractors to ensure productivity and adherence to schedules.
3. Quality Control
Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and issue corrective actions when necessary.
Prepare and maintain quality control documentation.
4. Technical Responsibilities
Interpret and implement construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
Identify and resolve technical issues on-site.
Supervise installation and commissioning of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems (if applicable).
5. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance
Enforce adherence to safety regulations and standards on-site.
Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks for on-site personnel.

6. Documentation and Reporting

7. Material Management
Coordinate the procurement and delivery of construction materials.

Verify the quality and quantity of materials delivered to the site.
8. Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact between the site team and project management.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve any site-related issues.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding project progress and challenges.
9. Budget and Cost Control
Assist in monitoring project costs and budgets.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Report any cost deviations or overruns to the project management team.
10. Problem-Solving
Address and resolve unexpected issues or challenges arising during construction.
Propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and project outcomes.
11. Handover and Close-Out
Supervise final inspections and ensure completion of snag lists.
Ensure all as-built drawings, manuals, and other documents are provided to the client.
Assist in project handover and obtain client acceptance.
