Job Description, Roles, and Responsibilities (ELV Integration Lead Engineer):
As the ELV Integration Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the integration of Extra-Low Voltage systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Performance Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and structured cabling systems. Your role will involve planning, executing, and managing integration projects to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance of these systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions that meet project requirements and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
· System Integration Planning - Develop comprehensive integration plans for ELV systems, including BMS, EPMS, and structured cabling, outlining project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
· Coordinate with project stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives.
· Technical Expertise - Possess in-depth knowledge of ELV systems, including BMS, EPMS, and structured cabling systems, along with their functionalities, protocols, and integration methodologies.
· Evaluate system requirements and design integration solutions that meet performance standards and regulatory requirements.
· Integration Implementation - Lead the execution of integration projects, overseeing the deployment of hardware, software, and networking components.
· Review and verify points list for accuracy against project Basis of Design, Sequence of Operations and Specifications.
· Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and successful implementation of integration solutions.
· Testing and Validation - Conduct thorough testing and validation of integrated systems to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
· Identify and troubleshoot integration issues, working closely with technical teams to implement corrective actions.
· Management - Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on integration progress, addressing concerns, and soliciting feedback.
· Collaborate and Resolve integration-related issues and ensure alignment with project goals.
· Documentation and Reporting - Maintain accurate documentation of integration processes, configurations, and system specifications.
· Generate regular reports summarizing integration activities, test results, and key findings for stakeholders and management review.
· Training and Support – Coordinate with vendors for training and support documentation and presentations to end-users and stakeholders on the operation and maintenance of all integrated ELV systems.
· Safety Compliance - Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical safety regulations, standards, and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
· Electrical Engineer, Controls Engineer, or related field or Tradesman (Certified)
· 5+ years of “Hands On” project experience in the field, not only office based experience.
· 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing ELV systems, with a focus on BMS, EPMX, Plant Manager PLCs, and structured cabling systems.
· Strong technical expertise in ELV systems, including knowledge of protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus), networking principles, and structured cabling standards (e.g., TIA/EIA).
· Proven management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor integration projects effectively.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
· Analytical mindset with the ability to assess system performance, identify issues, & implement solutions.
· Very good English language skills.
· Competent in the use of PC applications (Microsoft Office suit or equivalent).
