About the role:

SIMBA Telecom has been appointed as Singapore’s 4th mobile telecommunications network service provider and currently we are building Singapore’s newest 5G mobile and fixed broadband network.

To join us and be part of this exciting journey, we are looking for telecommunication professional with transmission and XGS-PON access experience, who also a great team player with right attitude.

The key duties and responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

• Design, plan, and implement the network – IP Routing.
• Lead IP network testing procedures and acceptance tasks, ensuring adherence to quality standards
• Cooperate with different teams to achieve and complete the assigned tasks.
• Performance the network change requests
• Lead and participate in various projects for the IP network service integration, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, communication links and routing protocols
• Conduct network audits and assessments of IP networks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary actions
• Liaising with internal/external partner to ensure daily operation and site implementation are smoothly executed
• Providing forecast ETA for IP infrastructure readiness in align with stages of project plan.
• Responsible and responsive character

The candidate should possess the below qualities to fulfil the needs of the role:

• At least 4 years of working experience as an IP Network Engineer
• Bachelor Degree or Diploma specialized in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• CCNP or CCIE certification preferred
• Proficiency in IP network engineering, network security, design, operation, and optimization tasks.
• Familiar with Internet, MetroEthernet and IPVPN solutions.
• Experienced on the network products from Cisco, Huawei, and others.
• Essential skills in network routing protocols ISIS, OSPF, eBGP/iBGP, FRR, BFD, LDP, RSVP, VLL and VPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN, QoS, MPLS.
• Proven ISP transit will be a bonus
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Job descriptions:

• Roaming testing with Roaming partners for 3G, 4G, 5G and VoLTE coverage.
• Manage Roaming sim management/distribution
• Roaming reporting to Partners and Stakeholders on a regular basis with Reports to Senior management on a weekly basis.
• TADIG, NRTRDE and IREG support in general areas of work requirements
• Retail plans testing with Roaming and SMS fraud management on a daily basis. (Crucial)
• Manage commercial launches with roaming partners on a region/global basis.
• Assisting the Core Network Department on the daily operational tasks and Technical requirements.

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of GSMA/ IREG roaming procedures
• Fundamental knowledge of 4G and 5G Core Network Equipment and architecture is preferred.
• Familiar with Linux Operating Systems
• Ability to swiftly achieve alignment with multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Team player with a pleasant disposition and ability to take the occassional work demands from multiple touch points.

The ideal candidate should be skilled and experienced with

• General Systems Administration of Linux based servers
• Shell Scripts and Job Scheduling
• Installation of Open Sourced Applications (including building from source instead of merely package installation)
• DevOps processes
• Computing Hardware Layer Optimization (understand and identify server bottlenecks)
• Storage Layer Optimization (know the implications of different RAID types)

A candidate with 10yr+ experience is preferred but this position is also open to more junior candidates with at least 5yrs of experience. Offered remuneration will commensurate with demonstrable ability. Candidates should be prepared for a hands-on technical assessment during the interview.

The key duties and responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

• Reporting to the RF Manager
• To support radio network planning & optimization projects and ensure project milestone are met on time.
• Familiar and experience with mobile network rollout tasks.
• Perform site selection, site survey, antenna tuning & verification and acceptance testing.
• Perform post processing and analysis of drive test and walk test logfiles.
• Perform RF optimization for 4G/5G sites and performance monitoring.
• Capable to solve RF related problems, troubleshoot and identify root cause for performance issues (weak coverage, capacity congestion, pilot pollution, interference, overshooting and etc).
• Be responsible on good network performance for customer.
• As technical point of contact with project stakeholders, vendors and customer.
• Attend internal and external meetings with various levels i.e project managers, RF managers, vendors, contractors etc.

The candidate should possess the below qualities to fulfil the needs of the role:

• Tertiary education qualification majoring in Telecommunications, Electronics or related area
• Minimum 3 years of RF planning & optimization experience in LTE mobile network deployment.
• Excellent in the fundamentals of radio access technologies and antenna systems.
• Experience in multi-vendor wireless equipment operation and network optimization.
• Strong skill set in various RF planning and testing tools such as Atoll, Nemo Handy, Nemo Analyze, Google Earth, MapInfo Professional etc.
• Literate in computer application skills with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.
• Dedicated team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well with cross cultural teams.
