• Handle end-to-end Desktop refresh and replacement initiative and timely removal of Not Permitted Technology
• Handle user questions, incidents and requests. Tracking, measuring, and escalating as appropriate
• Adhere to industry and corporate standards and best practices while maintaining a high level of efficiency
• Assist with patching and upgrading end user devices
• Address quality and schedule conflicts
• Availability for ad-hoc work after hours and on weekends where necessary
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast moving environment

Job Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience in all phases of desktop operating system support, implementation, and maintenance, preferably in the financial sector
• Knowledge/Experience in Asset Disposal Processes
• At least 3 years’ experience on trading floor experience with Bloomberg, Reuters & trading platforms
• Knowledge of desktop operating system and infrastructure required to implement and support enterprise deployments
• Knowledge of Desktop Services security and access standards and practices
• Basic understating of networking and server technologies
• Proficient in supporting a Windows 10 desktop environment & Microsoft suit of applications
• Good communication skills and strong analytical skills

Note:

• Work Mode: In-person at client premise located in CBD
• Working hours: Standard working hours with occasional requirement of ad-hoc work on hours / weekends as necessary

• Develop and implement techniques and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualisation software.

• Apply data mining, data modelling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyse information from large structured and unstructured datasets.

• Visualise, interpret, and report data findings and may create dynamic data reports as well.

• Build and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.

• Performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

• To support and develop Data modeling, Data mapping activities.

• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.

Requirements:

• Experience with Data engineering tools (Python, Spark (Scala or Python), Hadoop) or relational databases (oracle, MySQL, MS Sql) or NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra.

• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools.

• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, R, etc

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science or Equivalent experience.

• Your primary responsibility is to provide technical assistance and support to end-users within the organization.
• Your role involves resolving hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, and other IT peripherals.
• You will be tasked with installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems and ensuring they operate efficiently.
• Additionally, you'll assist users with technical inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Provide remote assistance for off-site users using remote desktop tools.
• Assist users with login issues, password resets, and access-related queries
• Your goal is to ensure a smooth and productive computing environment for all employees, contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization
