As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you are responsible to lead the Singapore DDP (Dielectric Deposition Products) manufacturing team. Your key duties include:

• Lead engineering team, projects and programs in area of responsibility, and ensures that necessary preliminary activities (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of projects.
• Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.
• Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with company policies including (but not limited to) engineering/lab notebooks, patents, Intellectual property, confidentiality, ISO, safety and others as required.
• Establishes departmental budgets and spending requirements. Ensures that the utilization of all material and financial resources is carried out in an effective manner in alignment with AOP to ensure maximum productivity for the area.
• Effectively assigns work to subordinate staff, providing for professional development and coaching.
• Spearheads research and development of new manufacturing technologies, as appropriate, and ensures that newly created processes, designs, and/or methodologies are incorporated into Applied Materials products/services, and/or disseminated to other areas as needed.
• Effectively utilizes common engineering technology and software packages for optimization of design development activities and timelines to ensure rapid commercialization.

Requirements:

• Master/ Bachelor Degree in Engineering with years of relevant manufacturing experiences
• At least 4 years of supervisory experiences managing a team of engineers
• At least 7 years of industry experiences in manufacturing, electronics or semiconductor
• Problem-solving and quality-minded personality
• Ability to work with deadlines and different levels of stakeholders
• Ability to work with global stakeholders which may lead to having meetings at different time zones
• Ability to travel for work at times in need
• Candidates with more experiences may be considered for Senior role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineers in utilizing techniques to characterize hardware, define methods and new technologies and apply them to characterize hardware, and/or perform hardware characterization on extremely complex systems for entire range of products for division
• Interact with key customers to resolve extremely complex process engineering issues to address customers High Value Problems (HVP) for an entire range of products for the division
• Ensures effective product/technology demonstrations
• Manages experimental tests, evaluates results and escalates critical technology issues to management
• Determines product process specifications and equipment strengths, weakness and area of developmental opportunity
• Leads collaboration efforts with executive managers and junior managers to ensure strategic execution
• Leads market share improvement efforts

Requirements:

• PhD or Master in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics or related field
• Research focus in semiconductor would be an added advantage
• At least 5 years of experiences in supervisory or management capacity
• At least 10 years of relevant experiences in Plasma Etch process development field
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence internally and externally, including senior management
• Problem-solver attitude with determination and quality-mindset

You will be involved in leading the planning and implementation of the Automated People Mover (APM) systems for Changi Airport's Terminal 5, set to be one of the world's largest airport terminals when completed.

Job Description:

• Oversee the comprehensive planning, design, procurement, and implementation of APM systems.
• Manage and coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Explore and incorporate the latest innovations and technologies to achieve a world-class APM system for Terminal 5.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies as necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer/system engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in APM or rail transportation systems is preferred.
• Experience with signaling systems is a plus.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• This position is a 3-year contract with the possibility of renewal.

Key Responsibilities

Leads the Industrial Engineering Team. Oversees methods and analysis including process design, time and motion study, and leads continual improvement initiatives.

Ensures projects and programs within areas of responsibility are completed and implementation into business with quality tools, supporting processes and ongoing measures for success. Includes improved efficiency and cost savings. Works across organizations to provide business case for Plan of Record and IE projects. Ensures cost analysis, and return on investment calculations associated with project meet annual operation plan and budget.

Leads ergonomics / human factors initiatives, drives process improvements, and provides engineering solutions. Drives and implements Ergonomic improvements across multiple functions.

Ensures manufacturing rearrangement projects, plant layouts, material flow and warehousing designs are optimized for cost, capability and capacity. Leads manufacturing and warehouse rearrangement projects across multiple functions; coordinates the efforts of other IE's to achieve plan of record objectives.

Drives the strategic implementation of product introductions into volume manufacturing by developing factory space, capacity and capability solutions. Develops the New products factory capability roadmap for assigned work centers.

Drives the development of specialized tooling solutions for the assembly, integration and intra-plant transport of modules, assemblies and mainframes.

Serves as a role model and sets the example, whose behavior is emulated by other engineering team members. (Safe behavior, follow proper protocols and procedures, including core values).

Drives capacity/demand analysis business processes and ensures that capacity planning processes are deployed and maintained across multiple functions. Oversees solutions to address capacity constraints and works with Operations and Logistics organizations to implement these solutions prior to production ramp. Drives manufacturing and logistics initiatives to improve factory asset utilization and production processes.

Leads and drives the effort to establish and document business processes across multiple functions.
