The engineer is responsible for supporting motor & generator services, transformer services and switchgear services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Take charge of maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, commissioning and replacement of machinery equipment and systems such as chillers, motors, switchgears, generators and transformers.
• Carry out testing for all types of protection and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain relations with supervisors, assistant supervisors and other department on engineering concerns.
• Identify and solve engineering problems as needed.
• Ensure works are done timely.
• Ensure all safety aspects of the team.
• Mentor and train up technicians.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 1 year relevant experience

1. Shall be able to closely interact with the piping design team to review the piping routing and suggest improvements.
2. Shall have a penchant for details, and must be able to spot errors quickly.
3. Shall have the ability check the stress integrity of piping systems and provide workable solutions to stress problems
4. Shall have an engineering degree qualification with about 12-15 years of experience in pipe stress analysis for offshore platform / FPSO projects.
5. Shall possess a strong background in pipe stress analysis concepts.
6. Hands-on experience of at least 8 years in using CAESAR II application for offshore piping analysis is a must.
7. Recent assignment as a senior stress engineer on an FPSO project with a good handle in identifying the required load cases covering wave motion, acceleration, deck hogging and sagging, etc. is required
8. Shall be able to lead / work harmoniously in a team belonging to different ethnic groups.
9. Shall be highly motivated and result-oriented.
10. This is a 1-2 year contract.
11. Location is in any shipyard in Singapore.
