In this role, you will collaborate with multi-region teams, adopting the advanced AI technologies and applying AI models and strategies to enhance business models. Your primary focus will be on following and crafting the advanced AI algorithms for South-East Asia language in the ecommerce domain.

Job Description:

• Contribute to the research and implementation of pre-training and alignment algorithms include ultra-large-scale multilingual pre-training technology, Mixture-of-Experts model training, Instruction Pretraining, SFT, and RLHF.
• Contribute to the explanation and safety improvement of AI, especially in trustworthy Large language models.
• Follow the frontier technologies and make comparisons about the advanced technologies to apply in business scenerios.
• Conduct experiments to test the performance of different AI models, identifying areas for improvement and exploring new directions for enhancement.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment, applying expertise in statistics, scripting, and relevant programming languages.

Requirements:

• Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or other related disciplines
• Excellent coding skills, data structure and basic algorithm skills, proficiency in Python/Pytorch coding.
• 4 years of research experience in basic principles and training methods of industry-leading LLM (such as GPT, LLaMA).
• Have research experience in text generation or dialogue systems
• Excellent problem analysis and solving skills, able to deeply solve problems in large model training and application.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, able to explore new technologies with the team and promote technological progress.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for research and development on the algorithm for Large Vision-Language Generation Models in the multimedia field, make breakthroughs in key algorithm technologies, such as controllable image generation, fine-grained generation content control, text-to-image generation, text-to-video generation, image editing, object addition & removal & alteration in images, etc.

• Actively explore the latest technologies in large vision-language model, deeply understand the technological development trends in the multimedia field such as multimodal large model generation and editing, as well as industries like mobile phone / autonomous driving, to incubate new products and features.

• Collaborate with relevant product teams to ensure the smooth delivery of related products.

Job Requirements:

• Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related engineering fields (Ph.D. preferred).

• Strong background in large vision-language model, AIGC, image processing, and machine learning technologies, with 1-5 years of relevant industry experience. Priority will be given to those who have published papers in relevant academic conferences and journals as the first author, such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, AAAI, ACMMM, ACL, ICLR, ACL, etc.

• Excellent algorithm and deep learning model development skills, proficient in Python/C++ and relevant AI development frameworks such as TensorFlow/PyTorch.

• Experience in image/video processing algorithms or the development of image processing chips.

Job Description

AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The programme office is hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and brings together all Singapore-based research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies developing AI products to perform use-inspired research, grow the knowledge, create the tools, and develop the talent to power Singapore's AI efforts.

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join AI Singapore to lead the evaluation efforts in the Applied Research for Foundation Models team in AI Products.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the development of NLP products for Southeast Asian languages, with a focus on foundation models and linguistically-motivated approaches.
• Aid efforts on the fine-tuning, alignment and reasoning of large language models, including research, experimentation, implementation and data creation where applicable.
• Keep abreast of latest developments in NLP for low-resource languages, evaluation approaches etc.
• Collaborate with various parties both within and outside of Singapore on research and software development

Qualifications

• Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Computational Linguistics
• Background in Linguistics is highly preferred
• Competency in a Southeast Asian language, or knowledge of multiple languages is strongly preferred
• Familiar with modern NLP models, including transformer architectures and large language models
• Familiar with fine-tuning and alignment techniques related to chain-of-thought generation and reasoning in LLMs
• Familiar with NLP evaluation methods and metrics
• Experienced in NLP model implementations based on PyTorch or Tensorflow/Keras, with some exposure to the setting up of end-to-end pipelines from data preparation to deployment
• Fluent in Python, but other languages such as Java, C++ or Javascript will be a bonus
• Have a good grasp of the fundamentals of Machine Learning
• Knowledge and experience in Software Engineering will be beneficial (e.g. Agile framework, Frontend/Backend development, Git)
• Some knowledge of DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD) will be a plus
• Team player with good communication skills and passion for technology

As a Senior AI Engineer in the engineering team, you will be responsible for:

• Design and deployment of NLP and LLM solution for innovative products, work closely with global teams for AI solutions, maintain industry trend & knowledge
