Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the performance and repair standards of the workshop shift team.
• Liaise with stores personnel to identify all material requirements and usages.
• Ensure all maintenance work performed adhere strictly to standards established by the Company and any legal requirements.
• Optimize work to ensure maximum availability of vehicles to meet operational requirements.
• Work with all parties to minimise lost mileages due to engineering failures and issues.
• Ensure strict adherence to the planned inspection and maintenance schedules, Health & Safety procedures, legal and company regulations.
• Undertake any necessary audit to ensure strict compliance with established processes and procedures.
• Supervise and ensure workplace safety and health risks are identified, assessed and controlled, and provide employees with information on compliance to workplace safety and health policies.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must at least attain a Professional Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably 2 years of working experience and 1 year of supervisory experience in an automotive/ manufacturing or equivalent environment.
• Entry level candidates are welcome to apply.
• Candidate with a valid Class 3 driving license will be advantageous.
• Able to commit to shift work (including rotating shift/ permanent night shifts).

What You Will Do

• Lead and supervise repair cell; group leaders, technicians and repair specialists, to meet cell targets and goals for quality and on-time delivery.
• Assist manager in production and overtime schedules and procedures, as well as support cell leader on manpower and resources planning.
• Implement management tools to track production activities, material flow and inventory used by the cells to achieve cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Develop & maintain adequate repair process control to achieve consistent quality products.
• Track production and repair yield and quality targets set by management.
• Enhance current repair procedures & improve process robustness & output, through process improvement and standard work.
• Support capacity ramp up initiatives through workforce hiring, planned skills training, resource scheduling and development programs.
• Assist the Department Manager in performance reviews on a regular basis in order to facilitate or maintain a high operating efficiency for the repair cells
• Develop potential talent in pipeline and champion employee development to ensure repair team stability and continuity.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Diploma in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Production Engineering with 3 years of relevant aviation experience
• Good working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
• Analytical with strong leadership and supervisory skills

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in aircraft engine workshop practices and maintenance & repair work process.
• Ability to perform basic bench repair on components.
• Able to perform machining on components using Lathe, Milling, Jig Bore, EDM and Grinding.

Key Responsibilities

• Timely payment of Engineering Division account payables, receivables, fixed costs forecasting, budgeting & control
• Passenger and Freighter Aircraft Variable Costs Forecasting and Budgeting, and Capital Expenditure Forecasting, Budgeting & Control
• Asset Accounting (Spares, Capitalised Maintenance costs)
• Perform month end closing, prepare monthly schedules, timely and accurate accrual of expenses for the purpose of monthly reporting.
• Freight Invoice Verification and monitoring and clearance of suspense accounts
• Withholding Tax Reporting and Interested Party Transaction (IPT) Coordinator
• Scribe of Finance Meetings
• System enhancement/ implementation
