Responsibilities:
· Bridges the gap between business needs and technical solutions: Understands business requirements and translates them into feasible and effective technical solutions that align with the overall IT strategy.
· Designs and defines the technical architecture: Creates blueprints for system components, integrations, and data flows, considering scalability, security, and performance.
· Evaluates and selects technologies: Researches and recommends appropriate technologies and tools based on project requirements, budget, and existing infrastructure.
· Provides technical guidance and expertise: Mentors and guides developers and engineers on implementing the chosen architecture and technical solutions.
· Stays up-to-date on emerging technologies: Continuously learns about new technologies and trends to keep solutions modern and efficient.
· Blends traditional and agile project management methodologies: Adapts planning, communication, and team management approaches to suit the project's needs. May utilize iterative cycles and continuous improvement within a defined scope and timeline.
· Focuses on project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction: Ensures projects stay on track, meet deadlines, and achieve desired outcomes while managing stakeholder expectations and addressing their concerns.
· Leads and manages project teams: Collaborates with developers, engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to execute project tasks effectively, managing resources and resolving conflicts.
· Monitors and controls project risks and issues: Proactively identifies potential issues, develops mitigation strategies, and tracks progress towards resolution.
· Maintains project documentation and reports: Tracks progress, budget, and resource utilization. Prepares reports for stakeholders and keeps everyone informed.
· Communicates effectively with all stakeholders: Clearly conveys project goals, progress, and challenges to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
· Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree;
· At least 8 - 12 years’ experience in developing, implementing and maintaining IT systems;
· Self-motivated, driven, a good team player and strong ability to multi-task;
· Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
