About this role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Front-end Engineer to join our multi-strategy hedge fund team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building web applications from the ground up (zero to one experience) and a deep understanding of modern front-end technologies. Requirements

• Bachelors' or above in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in building web applications in a modern front-end stack like React.js/Redux/Node.js.
• Deep experience with Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript , HTML/CSS and RESTful APIs.
• Deep experience with React.js and its lifecycles and hooks.
• Strong experience with agile processes, testing, CI/CD and production error/metrics monitoring.
• Eager and willing to learn new things. Staying up to date with the latest technologies.
• Ability to think through architectural problems, find reasonable solutions, and work with other members to build them.
• A keen eye for design and detail to deliver joyous experiences to our end-users.
• Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership & bias for action.

• Be present at the office at least 4 times a week.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with finance and trading domain, particularly in multi-strategy hedge funds, is a significant plus.
• Experience working in full-stack development including but not limited to server-side programming, RESTful API / GraphQL development, etc.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, AWS/GCP, CDNs, etc.
• Integration experience with financial systems such as Bloomberg API.
• Experience in developing complex distributed systems or building sizable applications from scratch.

IT SYSTEM ENGINEER (IN-HOUSE SUPPORT: ROTATING SHIFTS)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Required to have Diploma (or higher) in IT, Computer Science or related disciplines

• Comfortable & able to commit to rotating working days & 12-Hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

§ Participate in end-to-end projects for system implementation of the NetReveal system

§ Engage and collaborate with Architects, Security and Development Lead to ensure solution design complies with enterprise design principles, security and control standards

§ Liaise with application teams across group and countries build the enhancements according to the technical solution plan

Key Requirements:

Must Have

• At least 6 years of experience / knowledge working with AIX/RHEL OS, Shell Scripting, Oracle PL/SQL and Java

• At least 3 years of experience / knowledge working with JBoss, Weblogic, MQ, Apache Kafka and Spark

• Ability to multitask effectively

• Highly driven, pro-active and a strong team player

• Excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills in English
