Job Description

You will be part of the mechanical team in Engineering, reporting to Mechanical Engineering Manager. You will use 3D CAD tool to design plastic and metal parts for electronic boxes. You will work on conduct rapid prototyping and rapid testing to validate design requirements You will perform design trouble shootings and design solution implementations.

You will support parts fabrication, product assembly and production processes. We would have you work on technical drawings, design reports, test plans and technical documentations. We would work with Quality team to ensure product quality and reliability

Your Responsibilities:

• ability to evaluate stress and strain for plastic and metal designs
• experience in and understanding of various 3D printing technologies and other rapid prototyping techniques
• ability to design mechanical tests for design verifications
• understanding of plastic molding and metal fabrication processes
• ability to design parts that facilitate product assembly and production processes
• Understand the design of electromechanical connectors
• Experience providing design solutioning to prevent product being damaged by thermal and mechanical shock and vibration

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Degree/Master in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
• You have min 3 or more years of experience in mechanical design of plastic and metal parts, for electronic boxes, in electronic product industry

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Candidate with the following skills will be preferred:ability to conduct computer modeling and simulation, using Ansys, during product design
  ability to instrument product and conduct shock and vibration tests on a shaker table
  You have skills to perform troubleshooting and solutioning.

Requirements:

• Degree / Master in Computer Science/ Embedded Systems / Computer Engineering / Electrical Electronic Engineering with concentration in the areas of Embedded Software engineering

• Minimum 8 years of experience in developing Real Time Embedded Systems.

• Strong knowledge in programming language: C, C++

• Posses certification in CERT Secure Coding in C and C++

• Have strong knowledge in Industrial Automation, PLC Programming

• Have Experience with programming 32 bits Microcontroller (ARM or ColdFire is preferred) and developing low level device driver.

• Must have development experience in following areas for embedded system:

• ThreadX OS

• Industrial Communication Protocol: PCCC, DF1, Modbus, DNP3, CIP, EtherNet/IP

• Automated unit test methodology & tool: VectorCast

• Good analysis skills and proven ability to solve complex problems. Experience in using different hardware-assisted debugging tools

• Good knowledge and experience of Agile process, static analysis tool and version control tools (e.g. ClearCase, Rational Team Concert) will be an advantage

• Good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and as team in multi-cultural environment

• Open-minded, a willingness to experiment within acceptable boundaries and a creative mind to bring novel solutions into design and problem-solving
