• Managing the day-to-day planning and engineering initiatives for the project
• Responsible for project functions; e.g. Site Management, Project Control Management, Engineering Management, Procurement, Construction Management, etc.
• Supervise and prepare methods for the project and any installation procedures, task plans and guidance
• Monitor site progress against budget and forecast schedule
• Ensure EHS and QA/QC standards of works by trade cons are met
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of works progress to Senior Manager
• Identify and notify Senior Manager and Executive Manager (PMO) of any additional works or changes that constitute a variation
• Always ensure coordination and communication with all trade cons
• Prepare meeting minutes for project meeting
• Manage project closeout and obtain all warranties for final acceptance

• Assist Assistant Manager to manage day to day FM operations of accounts
• Ensure fulfilment of scheduled commitments for FM teams
• Ensure good planning and execution of service schedules
• Assist in training staff members on proper work processes, operating procedures, equipment servicing, etc., and manage FM engineers’ technical competencies
• Manage Staff deployment and attendance administration
• Motivate site staff and ensure safe & conducive work environment
• Manage customers’ expectation and deliverables and establish rapport for long term customer relationship
• Manage onsite vendors and ensure timely and quality work
• Provides solution proposals to clients for issues encountered onsite
• Provide support to other FM site Teams for any emergency situation
• Ensure continuous site improvements in areas of M&E Infrastructure, green initiatives, and operational processes
• Responsible for FM Quotation submission and obtain of Vendor quotation
• Ensure toolbox / daily ops meeting to be conducted c/w MOM
• To provide regular support to update of the Asset Management, Risk Management, Incident Management, Weekly Report, Monthly Report and Quarterly Report
• Review and provide close support to the onsite team to generate the Lifecycle replacement programme, create opportunities to meet sales revenue targets

As a Technical Manager for Rail Communications Systems. As the Technical Manager, you will be pivotal in driving the technical team towards the successful delivery of integrated communication solutions, including Public Address (PA), Access Management Control Systems (AMS), Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Radio, network infrastructure, and power systems. This role demands robust leadership in managing both project delivery and team dynamics, ensuring comprehensive integration and migration documentation is thoroughly prepared and meets all regulatory and operational standards.

What will you do?

• Lead and manage a diverse technical team responsible for the design, implementation, and migration of PA, AMS, VSS, Radio, network, and power systems within rail projects.
• Ensure the development and clearance of integration and migration documents meet all technical and compliance requirements.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of communication system projects, from initial concept through to testing, implementation, and maintenance.
• Coordinate effectively with other project stakeholders, including engineering teams, project managers, and external contractors, to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical oversight and make critical decisions during system migration, integration, and implementation phases.
• Develop training programs to enhance technical competencies within the team, ensuring they are proficient with the latest technologies and industry practices.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet project deliverables while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency within the team.
• Manage resources and personnel development strategically to optimize project outcomes and team performance.
• Adhere strictly to industry standards and safety regulations throughout all stages of the project.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in a technical leadership role, specifically in rail or telecommunications, managing integrated communication systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in the design and implementation of PA, AMS, VSS, Radio, network, and power systems.
• Proven ability to lead and manage technical teams through complex projects, from conception to completion.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a strong aptitude for making quick, effective decisions.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of successful stakeholder management.
• Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and standard practices in the rail communication sector.
• Experience in creating, reviewing, and approving detailed technical documentation and integration plans.
