1. Job scope

• Ensure M&E works are carried out according to specifications/drawings
• Inform the Project Director / Project Manager on any technical / site problems about M&E works;
• Supervise the progress of M&E works on site;
• Coordination of sub-contractor's M&E work and ensuring the work is on schedule.
• Work closely to the clients, consultants and sub-contractors on technical matters
• Supervise and Coordinate M&E services work and work closely with other department staff to meet the project timelines
• Conduct in detailed, M&E coordination with all specialist contractors
• Carry out testing and commission of M&E work; Execute mechanical and electrical works in construction
• Supervise day-to-day site works and manage sub-con/in progress production planning & build.
• Handle the project supervision and documentation
• Manage M&E subcontractors’ submission of method statements, drawings, materials, samples, and work progress
• Dealing with troubleshooting

1. Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Basic knowledge of computer software e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Auto CAD, email, etc
• Knowledge of reading building construction drawings
• 3-5 years of working experience in main-con, preferably in all the projects

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in the Project Management, Project Planning, coordination and preparation of documents for submission.
• Propose alternative design and construction methods to Consultants.
• Ensure smooth delivery of projects through effective planning, management and deployment of resources.
• Liaise with various related parties including customer, sub-contractor on site to ensure project requirements are met.
• Identify and record any problems relating to the products and processes.
• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineerng from a recognized institution.
• 1-3 years experience in building as M&E Engineer.
• Able to plan/coordinate site works and resolve drawing details and discrepancies.
• Able to liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Able to work independently .
• Autodesk Revit MEP experience will be an advantage.

JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)

• Plan and coordinate M&E work to ensure timely completion
• Attending the technical meeting with client, Architect, M&E Consultant
• Submission and monitoring of Shop Drawing and Material approval
• Preparation of Authority Submission
• Raising RFI for technical issue
• Supervising the progress of M&E work on site and report to M&E Manager
• Leading to coordination site walk with subcontractors
• Preparing the work schedule based on Master schedule
• Help QS to claim for additional work
• Supervising the progress of M&E work on site
• Prepare CSD Drawing and leading BIM Coordination meeting with all subcon BIM modeler and settle all the clashes using Navis work software
• Preparation of MSRA
• Arrange work for inspection with RTO/RE
• Conduct weekly meeting with sub-contractors for site progress and discussed about 4 week ahead schedule

REQUIREMENT

• Preferably to have M&E experience dealing with LTA projects
• Preferably someone who has full cycle of project experience (from inception to completion phase)
• Seeking for someone who is strong in M&E paperwork/ documentations
• Good knowledge with M&E coordination background

• Supervise the work of sub-contractors and work closely with other site operations staff to meet the project schedule.
• To work and co-ordinate with design/construction teams for all M&E installation and system requirement matters
• To attend E&M co-ordination meetings
• Adhere to construction procedures and safe work practices and ensure that works are executed within an acceptable standard of workmanship to meet the stringent requirements conducted during site tests and inspections.

REQUIREMENT

• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/its equivalent.
• At least 3 years of working experience in Construction Industry (LTA projects) for this position.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills gained through experience in the supervision of field staff.
• Be assertive, independent and proactive with a positive attitude.
