Job Description

• Collaborate with various teams that includes Development/Infra/Products to ensure successful delivery, maintenance planning and correction of build errors.
• Day-to-day monitoring, backup, deployment and maintenance of systems.
• Knowledgeable in industry best practices for security and security incidents monitoring and alert, so as to implement hack proof systems in the cloud.
• Develop/build/maintain continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated testing to support high quality software build in a continuous build/deploy environment (Jenkins Pipeline/Library).
• Writing scripts/programs for service monitoring and health check of systems.
• Automate and build up scalable systems/environment using latest technologies (e.g. Kubernetes) with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps strategy.
• Automate security hardening in testing, deployment and production setup based on industrial best practices.
• Provide technical insights for the design and implementation of solutions. Including but not limited to researching dockerization for various frameworks so to achieve load distribution and scaling.
• Optimize and migrate databases to achieve scalability and efficiency.
• Design and deploy cross regional fail safe always online systems using cloud infrastructure.
• Familiar with cloudflare or imperva CDN cloud front, WAF, anti-hacking methodologies.
• Promote a Dev Ops culture through building relationships with Development & Operations and driving enhancements to the end-to-end release process (workstation to production).

Work Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Min 3years experiences in DevOps with exposure in AWS with a focus on cloud-based infrastructure and automation. (e.g. AWS: EC2,RDS, ELB, EFS, ELK, ElasticCache, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, AMK,EKS )
• Experienced with building and setting up high velocity and reliable CI/CD pipeline using tools/platforms such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, CircleCI
• Proficiency with containers and cloud orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes
• Proficiency with systems that support Infrastructure-as-Code ideals, such as Ansible AWX/Tower, RunDeck, Chef, Terraform, Puppet, Cloudformation and so on
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools, such as CloudWatch, ELK, or Prometheus.
• Experience in Java SE, Docker, Kubernetes & AWS.
• Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, are a plus.
• Proficient in LINUX operating system, CENTOS and UBUNUTU

Position Summary / Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff IT Engineer with a good background in managing compute and storage resources in data center and Cloud environments. This will include managing Linux based Physical/cloud/virtual servers, File/object Storage maintenance and High-Performance Computing (HPC) technology. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to work with a multitude of cutting-edge technologies within our HPC team and gain exposure to cloud (AWS/Google Cloud), Big Data Analytics, and AI and Machine Learning infrastructure.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Collaborating closely with business users to gather system and storage requirement details.
• Designing and implementing storage and compute solutions that meet business requirements and align with defined strategies and compliance requirements.
• Providing expert technical support for server and storage platforms.
• Conducting performance analysis, installation, and tuning of infrastructure including storage, compute, and operating systems.
• Creating detailed documentation for implementations, guides, and training.
• Developing server automation solutions using Ansible, Terraform, and other automation solutions.
• Maintaining best practices and global standards for managing systems and services across all environments.
• Performing periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
• Installing and maintaining security patches and firmware codes on operational and development systems.
• Adhering to corporate change management policies and practices.
• Participating in 24X7 on-call responsibilities in a global follow-the-sun model.
• Working with management on individual and team-wide progress and improvements.

Role Requirements:

• 7+ years supporting enterprise compute in Red Hat and Debian based Linux distributions at an expert level for troubleshooting and administration.
• Experience in implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting scale-out storage systems like NAS/File Storage, S3 Object Storage etc.
• 5+ years’ experience working with a global team.
• 2+ years of experience working within a data center or network operation center environment.
• Knowledge of HPC and job schedulers with an emphasis on SGE or Slurm.
• Strong scripting/programming skills with fluent understanding of Python and Bash.
• Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing computer hardware and server hardware.
• Experience in Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience in one of the following: cloud migration, data center migration, disaster recovery, application/servers’ assessment, and discovery.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting ideas, solutions, and concepts to others.
• Self-sufficient and Results-oriented with the ability to take ownership of IT projects and deliver them on time and within budget.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, learn quickly, and master diverse technologies.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline .
• AWS and/or GCP Associate Certification is preferred.
• RedHat Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with Professional Engineer on the Temporary works
• Handle of technical and engineering problems
• Daily site activities planning, preparing work breakdown, daily site operations, site coordination, monitoring and report work progress.
• Work closely with subcontractors on project progress and ensure timely work arrangements.
• Liaise with consultant and carry out site inspection.
• Able to take on PE Assigned supervision role.
• Provide guidance to supervisors in relation to construction works, ensure progress according to schedule
• Maintain quality standards, carry out site inspections and resolve technical issues on time

Requirements:

• Min Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or its’ equivalent
• Experience in underground civil works (tunnelling) ,Diaphragm Wall, Bore Piling is a plus
• Possess RE Registration with IES is an advantage
• Experience in LTA/MRT Project is an advantage
• Able to lead and work independently
