Job Description:

• Update and control of Mechanical Engineering specification,procedure and drawings in CMMS (Computerized maintenance management system).
• Register, control and maintenance of assets management in CMMS.
• Material Management including consumables,parts and spare units in CMMS.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, record and report in CMMS.
• Review and approve of service, repair and overhaul equipment, record and report.
• Manage staff “shift or on-call' work as necessary.
• Plan and supervise scheduled maintenance, improvement and investment works.
• Contract and evaluation of cost including technical proposal on improvement and investment works.
• Manage vendors, suppliers and contractors including performance appraisal.
• Manage staff KPI (Key Performance Indicator), appraisal and training plan.
• Ensuring compliance with machinery and equipment statutory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with QEHS (Quality, Environment, Health and Safety) legislation.
• Manage routine 5S at the maintenance workshop, store and work area at site.
• Provide training to Supervisors and Technicians if needed.
• Responsible for maintaining and improving availability of rotating equipment across the Plant.
• Develop and ensure data quality for documents uploaded in the CMMS.
• Develop Mean Time Between Failure, Mean Time to Repair, Failure Mode Effect Analysis template for rotating equipment and implement it.
• Develop and monitor the performance of the rotating equipment.
• Deliver quick and effective technical solutions and proactively interface with other discipline leads for resolving issues.
• Identify bad actors in the plant and reliability improvement.
• Initiate the engineering management of change and execute the changes for plant improvement and modification work.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments for the maintenance of rotating equipment.
• Plan and execute all rotating equipment preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Condition monitoring of rotating equipment through online and offline vibration analysis, oil analysis and other techniques.
• Develop training plans for Operations & Maintenance Teams.
• Prepare estimates and budgets for rotating equipment.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Perform mechanical maintenance and repair activities on plant equipment and machinery.

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Carry out mechanical study and modification of plant facilities according to technical specification and business requirements.
• Performs technical investigation on plant equipment troubles, evaluation of findings and recommend countermeasures to effectively prevent recurrences of similar problems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities and optimize plant efficiency.
• Respond to plant emergency calls and resolve mechanical troubles within tight schedule.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in a petrochemical, oil or power industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and rotating equipment.
• Experience in troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

A Chemical MNC which has a plant in Singapore has an opening for a Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical.

• Plan, schedule and ensure all mechanical maintenance work orders
• Undertake periodic job rotation assignments within Maintenance Department.
• Ensure that technicians and contractors comply with all EHS protocol, statutory regulations, and standard work/operating procedures.
• Perform maintenance on all critical and statutory equipment according to regulations and ensure quality of maintenance work conform to specifications.
• Identify and analyze the root cause of the malfunctions and breakdown of equipment
• Ensure maintenance records are properly archived in computerized maintenance management system.
• Report any deviations to EHS protocol, statutory regulations, and standard work/operating procedures.
• Perform periodically review and update maintenance tasks, spare parts inventory level, operating procedures, risk assessment
• Assist in company Production System. Participate in LEAN manufacturing initiatives to improve plant reliability, productivity, and cost savings.
• Assist in the execution of capital projects if any

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering with minimum 2 year of relevant experience in Chemical or Process Plant environment or Diploma in Mechanical with 5 to 6 yrs of experience
• Knowledge of all plant process equipment construction, assembly, and function.
• Able to operate the Computerized Maintenance Management System application for job planning, scheduling, and purchases
• Good working knowledge of Maintenance and Reliability Best Practices
