• Translate project requirements, classification society requirement, relevant industrial standard and other statutory body's requirement into Technical Specifications for piping related materials, equipment and services to be procured and ensure all procurement arrangement & transactions comply with project's commercial, legal and contractual obligation
• Engage in technical discussions to achieve comparable levels of compliancy for competing suppliers of the same product/system; (providing a good starting point for the commercial negotiation)
• Prepare technical bid evaluations to qualify suitable vendors in terms of quality, track record, cost, delivery, responsiveness to meet project's schedule and compliance to all applicable requirements imposed by project owners & statutory bodies. "Manage and evaluate technical deviation in vendors' proposals.
• Contribute to the engineering process by developing the required deliverables, such as specification documents, reviewed supplier's documentation, functional descriptions, schematic drawings and test and validation plans.
• Work with other engineers from same & different department to implements technical and practical knowledge & deviation into the design and takes care all relevant data is stored accurately in the EMS system
• Manage project owners' requirements, variation orders, comments on engineering documents, construction site issues and etc.
• Prepare and manage piping material take off and requisition order according to project progress/ status
• Verify technical performance of products and systems; (i.e. inspection of equipment at supplier premises, factory acceptance test and etc.)
• Engage with project stakeholders to periodically review procurement methodologies, devising improvement strategies to minimize variability in the supply chain
• Assist in material / cost estimation and contract specs review prior to signing the contract with project owner
• Provide technical support for piping related construction / testing/ commissioning issues

Requirements:

• Familiar with EPCC process of hull (marine) and/or topside (process).
• Able to communicate & write in English
• Able to work overtime when required • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD and Autodesk Naviswork
• Prefer to have at least 1 year of piping engineering related working experience or similar activities as describe above.
• Prefer to have experience in Offshore/Shipyard project, Rig building/Ship building

Duties:

• Responsible in guiding the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, commissioning and substitute of mechanical or piping equipment within the Gas Engine Generators as well as its additional systems such as gas engine, pipeline, pressure pipe, ACMVs, lube oil and coolant pumps arrangement.
• Responsible in supporting mechanical support and solutions for the process & care and providing the development of care strategy including procedure/specification focusing on equipment dependability, spares inventory necessity, shutdown and inspection lists, preventive and prophetic care programmed.
• Responsible in managing and work meticulously with internal contractor and equipment seller to perform maintenance work at the Gas Engine Generators Building and terminal.
• Responsible to make certain compliance to appropriate regulations, manipulate safely, fit for object, maintainable and trustworthy for the site’s modified or anew build mechanical setup (such as gas engine, pumps, gravity vessel, safety facilities, etc).
• Responsible in guiding technical negotiations, execute and succeed project schedules or cost as well as collaboration with outward and internal shareholders, merchants for end of life and development project using company Management of Change process for machinery facilities.
• Responsible in supplying technical practicing as required in the area of process, maintenance, fault resolution of the Gas Engine Generators.
• Responsible in contacting with exterior investor including administration agencies on approbation and risk of closure of electrical arrangement that will influence gas-send out.

Requirements

• Min Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant field.
• Min 3 to 5 years’ experience in relevant industry for maintenance of rotary and staticequipment is needed
• Prior experience in different types of gas/diesel machine knowledges is a bonus.
