1. Responsibilities

· Analyse the Authority’s data needs and document the requirements.

· Refine data collection/consumption by migrating data collection to more efficient channels.

· Plan, design and implement data engineering jobs and reporting solutions to meet the analytical needs.

· Develop test plan and scripts for system testing, support user acceptance testing.

· Work with the Authority’s technical teams to ensure smooth deployment and adoption of new solution.

· Ensure the smooth operations and service level of IT solutions.

· Support production issues

2. What we are looking for

· Good understanding and completion of projects using waterfall/Agile methodology.

· Strong SQL, data modelling and data analysis skills are a must.

· Hands-on experience in DevOps deployment and data virtualisation tools like Denodo will be preferred.

· Understanding of reporting or visualization tool like SAP BO and Tableau is important.

· Track record in implementing systems using Hive, Impala and Cloudera Data Platform will be preferred.

· Hands-on experience in big data engineering jobs using Python, Pyspark, Linux, and ETL tools like Informatica.

· Strong SQL and data modelling and data analysis skills.

· Good understanding of analytics and data warehouse implementations.

· Ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resource to application stack traces.

· Track record in implementing systems with high availability, high performance, high security hosted at various data centres or hybrid cloud environments will be an added advantage.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· As a Frontend Engineer, your key KPI will be managing the demands of fast-moving business environments. You should have a broad expertise and proven experience in various areas such as web, mobile, Cloud, emerging technologies and services.

· Responsible to participate collaboration within internal Scrum team, application stakeholders, Cloud team and vendors / third-party services.

· Work on large-scale system implementations, providing both oversight and hands on contributions to the software design, development, and integration.

· Resolve integration and interfacing issues between various back-end systems. Optimise application performance, scalability and security.

· Design, develop, and maintain code that meets requirements, is high quality, and performs efficiently and effectively to provide a great customer experience.

· Incorporate standards and best practices, including performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.

· Participate in an agile team to deliver the full lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, development, testing and deployment.

· Continually work towards making improvements in the development process.

· Code review and contribute to design patterns and coding standards while being mentored.

REQUIREMENTS

Must Have:

· 2-5 years of application engineering experience.

· Minimum 2 years of development experience using Typescript, React JS

· Minimum 2 years of development experience using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.

· Minimum 2 years of development experience using REST/JSON or equivalent.

· Experience building with UI libs such as MUI, AntD, Bootstrap and equivalent.

· Experience writing unit tests.

· Experience with Git (GitHub, BitBucket, Gitlab etc).

· Experience with Jira

· Experience with Figma

· Understanding of Mobile Development practises (Responsive and Adaptive Design).

Preferred / Good to have:

· Sound knowledge with authentication and security technologies such as SSO, MFA authentications, OAuth, OWASP Top Ten and industry standards.

· Experience building PWAs.

· Familiar with build tools such as Webpack, Rollup and etc.

· Strong CS fundamentals, including Data Structure & Algorithms.

· Strong sense of design and user-centered perspective.

· Well versed in related topics such as NodeJS, NestJS, Java/J2EE software, SOA, micro service architecture & agile development.

· Experience in cloud technologies such as buckets, CDN and serverless computing (eg. AWS - S3, CloudFront, Lambda)

· Experience with database design and systems and DMS (eg. MongoDB, SQL, No SQL, AWS DMS).
