about the role

• Execute projects within established practices to ensure the delivery of services align with intended availability, continuity, and capacity requirements.
• Transform business requirements into infrastructure design.
• Collaborate with service providers to design, develop, deploy, and configure infrastructure that meets resiliency, availability, and data integrity needs.
• Ensure adherence to the Authority’s Technical Architecture, SG-TRM, IM8, and Authority IT Policies.
• Supervise Infrastructure projects and services to support application systems environments.
• Initiate requests for provisioning new VMs for emerging systems.
• Manage system architecture, resource planning, infrastructure performance, and the system hosting environment from server hardware to the OS layer (excluding hypervisor and storage) in support of new applications.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all new application system initiatives regarding infrastructure, supporting and assisting in application architecture design, integration, acceptance, and infrastructure performance testing.
• Hand over Infrastructure and Systems standard operating procedures and day-to-day performance/availability monitoring to the Operations Engineer upon the commissioning and completion of the PGP.
• Provide support to the Operations Engineer on Infrastructure and Systems.
• Assist in Infrastructure Architecture review, support, and endorsement. Review hardening standards for OS and database.
• Undertake hosting environment infrastructure on-boarding, including the design, setup, configuration, implementation, testing, and commissioning of infrastructure components.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the systems operations environment.
• Preference for familiarity with API products and configuration for pub/sub and encryption.

The Role

This excellent opportunity would see you being based in our office in Singapore and working on some of the most exciting projects across Asia and internationally.

As part of our established team of expert engineers and technicians, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will lead a project team in delivering projects throughout the entire process of structural engineering design, from conceptual design stage towards construction.

You will act as a mentor to provide coaching and training to junior engineers.

The Skills

• Accredited BEng or MEng degree level (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering
• You'll have proven experience of managing medium / large size projects and delivering to time and budgetary deadlines, whilst complying with operational and other procedures.
• You'll have broad and deep technical knowledge in Structural Engineering, plus demonstrable understanding of other disciplines.
• Familiar with local codes of practice and authority submission and approval procedures.
• Must be Registered as Professional Engineer with PEB Singapore.
• Competent user of relevant structural engineering software.

· Administration and troubleshooting of Windows Servers (Preferably Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012, Windows server 2003).

· Able to Install of windows servers and has good troubleshooting skills for Wintel systems, knowledge in hardening and securing of Wintel systems.

· Advanced level of Administration of Windows server with active directory, DNS, DHCP and High Availability.

· Understanding of RAID, pros and cons of various RAID levels and decision making on the same in a given situation

· Microsoft cluster configuration, administration and troubleshooting.

· Working experience with various storages, precisely for cluster configurations is good to have.

· Working knowledge in SAN environment and storage space management from systems side is good to have.

· File system and quota management.

· Experience and knowledge on FTP and SFTP Client and Server Model.

· Experience and knowledge with installing and implementing VMware ESX server, VMware virtual Center, setting up V-Motion, HA, DRS, and related VMware products such as VM Workstation, VMware converter VM Backup products and other products for virtualization would be advantages.

· Understanding about the ITIL process

· 5 - 8 Years of System Administration Experience is must.

· Must be a Graduate in Engineering / Science / Diploma in Computers
