You will join the application support team to provide application operation support to minimize business disruption.
You must be able to communicate well with both internal and external partners.
Provide L1 operation support for in-scope applications (70% to 90%)
a.The operation is 24x7 shift, including support on weekend and public hoilday
b.Primary support on day shift (9am to 6pm), morning shift(5am to 1:30pm) and afternoon shift (1pm to 9:30pm). On need basis, you will need to cover night shift (9pm to 5:30am the second day).
c.Monitoring to ensure batch operation jobs complete per schedule
d.Monitoring application health based on runbook
e.Recover job or application service based on runbook
f.Ensure that activities within the support and incident process are being performed at a high level of quality and that it meets its associated service levels and KPIs
g.Escalation of incident to Level 2 support for service recovery, and follow up to ensure incident is closed timely
h.Reporting on application health status and trending
i.Follow onboarding process to take over new application support, and ensure proper onboarding requirement are met, such as run book for application health check, recovery SOP, batch job criticality
j.Maintain and update Runbook documents.
Continuous improvement on operation support by updating SOP and automating SOP defined activities, creating/updating monitoring dashboard (20% to 30%)
a. Update application SOP to provide efficient operation support
b. Revise existing L1 SOP to provide efficient operation support
c. Automate monitoring activities for defined SOP
d. Create new monitoring dashboard or enhance existing monitoring dashboard if needed
Requirements:
- Diploma holder in Computer Engineering / Science, Information Technology, Electronic, Electrical, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in supporting application operation
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Application Monitoring Experience
- Batch operation support experience
- Familiar with some of the platforms, such as Windows, Linux, Unix, Cloud Platform (AWS), database and middleware is an advantage
- Familiar with application programming language, such as Java, .Net is an advantage
