[What you will be working on]

As an Engineer/Executive Engineer of the Nuclear Science and Technology Department in the Regulation Division, the officer will be responsible for the following:

• Ensure that Singapore is able to fulfil its obligations under various international conventions and agreements on nuclear safety, security and safeguards
• Implement activities tasked by inter-ministry committee and its working groups
• Provide technical support and advice on nuclear safety, security and safeguards matters to relevant government agencies
• Monitor nuclear science and technology developments and provide technical assessment
• Monitor developments in international conventions and agreements and provide assessment

• Good Honours Degree in Engineering
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good analytical, writing and presentation skills
• Able to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision
• Able to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
• Able to adapt to changes and has a positive work attitude
• Highly motivated, meticulous, committed and takes initiative
• Aptitude to understand concepts in radiation protection and nuclear science
• Able to travel overseas for official trips
• Able to commence overseas Masters’ degree programme in the year of recruitment, if required
