JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant ME Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a group of Manufacturing Engineers through planning, designing, implementing, and managing; integrated, productions and service delivery systems that assure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence and cost control within the production site. The Asst ME Engineering Manager will adopt as its goals profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and the continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Establish and clearly communicate all global, regional and site Manufacturing Engineering strategies to the ME Engineering team.

· Coach, mentor and train engineers with the Manufacturing Engineering team.

· Support recruitment and retainment of Manufacturing Engineering talent within the site.

· Report and drive improvement within the site through the monitoring of the key ME Engineering metrics.

· Develop and maintain the Manufacturing Engineering succession plan for the site.

· Insure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in accordance with the global, regional and site direction.

· Standardize the configuration of the systems used (e.g. SAP, MES, IEDB).

. Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity to support process improvement through the organization.

. Strong knowledge in NPI, High Level Assembly (HLA), Complex assemblies will be added advantages.

. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

· Key Requirements:

o Understanding and application of broad range of industrial engineering tools (ie. Work measurement, simulation, process mapping, and workstation design, operations research, etc.)

o Understanding of Jabil’s global strategies and direction

o Understanding of site’s facilities, capabilities and how they tie back to the Jabil strategies and direction

o Understanding of the complete Sales to Payment process

o Strong financial and analytical ability

o Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous improvements and cost reduction programs

o Strong communication skills

o Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Degree in Industrial Engineering , Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

· MS in Industrial Engineering or MBA preferred

· At least 7 years of working experience in the Manufacturing or related field, with a minimum of 2 year of supervisory experience

· Position: Senior QA/QC Engineer

· Location: Gul Road (company transport provided)

· Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8am - 5.30pm), Saturday (8am - 12pm)

· Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $7,000 + OT Payable + GOOD Performance Bonus (3-6 Months)

Main Responsibilities:

· Prepare and conduct Project Specific Quality requirements training to production Supervisors and Sub-contractors QC Personnel.

· Establishing Work Procedures and Instructions.

· Support QA/QC Manager for establishing WPS, PQR and WQT Qualifications.

· Act as Project Lead QA/QC and control the entire project Quality Assurance and Control activities during construction phase.

· Oversees the Inspector’s performance on the project towards monitoring and control of workmanship towards quality.

· Updating of Inspection status and records on daily basis.

· Attend weekly client progress review, Internal and Sub-Contractors meeting to discuss Quality issues.

· Liaise with client in relation to Quality on Project Specific.

· Schedule and conduct Project Specific Quality Audit as per agreed Plan.

· Monitor the compiling of Piping Test Packages.

· Monitor administration and submission of ITRs for Project.

· Prepare and maintain Weekly Weld Rejection Rate Summary.

· Monitor the issue and close-out of NCR’s for the project and maintain its register.

· Monitor progressive compilation of the MDR for the project as work progress.

· Any other ad-hoc duties being assigned by your superior.

Requirements:

· Degree in Mechanical Engineering

· At least 8 years of relevant working experience eg, welding inspections of structural, piping fabrication, welding jobs including Non-Destructive testing

· Have vaild Welding Inspectors Certificates (AWS or CSWIP)

· Experience in handling project Audit and liaise with internal & external auditor

· Knowledge in structural fabrication, piping isometric drawing and materials

· Experience in piping line walk, reinstatement inspections by clear understanding of isometric drawings

Job requirements:

1. Master's degree or above in automation design related majors; At least 8 years of experience in equipment development (such as semiconductor equipment modules) in the semiconductor industry, with excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (To work closely with Team in HQ)
2. Possess rich design theory and experience in sub micron level high-precision equipment, proficient in simulation model construction and input-output analysis model construction in the design process
3. Master the technology and market resources of the semiconductor industry, be familiar with the development trends of the semiconductor equipment market, and be good at mobilizing and introducing external priority talents and technologies;
4. Proficient in managing data analysis and process optimization skills, adept at outputting analysis and plan reports, and possessing excellent reporting abilities;
5. Excellent teamwork and management skills, strong cross departmental communication skills, strong logical thinking, and clear thinking.
