• Conduct detailed diagnostics and troubleshooting for PV system performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Monitor PV systems and respond to faults and breakdowns.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or potential risks to system performance.
• Supervise and guide technicians during maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities.
• Record faults, alarms, and maintenance actions in the company’s internal tracking system.
• Prepare comprehensive maintenance and performance reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with local and international solar O&M standards such as SS601, IEC62446 and IEC61724.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards (ISO45001) and quality management protocols (ISO9001) during all on-site activities.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Renewable Energy.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in Solar PV or electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of PV systems, inverters, and related equipment.
• Experience with SCADA systems and performance monitoring tools is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

1. Lead a team of technicians/junior infrared thermographers to carry out infrared Thermography inspections on the electrical installation assigned by the employer.
2. Lead a team of technicians to carry out partial discharge measurements on the Medium/High Voltage Apparatus.
3. Assist the Chief Electrical Engineer in carrying out testing and commissioning of the Electrical system.
4. Assist the Chief Electrical Engineer in carrying out the Pilot cable fault locating test for the PowerGrid Term Contract.
5. Assist Licensed Electrical Worker/Professional Engineer to carry out inspections and tests of existing electrical installation.
6. Assist Licensed Electrical Worker/Professional Engineer to lead a team of electricians to carry out maintenance and servicing of electrical apparatus on existing electrical installation during scheduled shutdown.
7. Assist professional engineers in carrying out power quality analysis and electrical load trending on new and existing electrical installations.
8. Project manage and lead a team of electricians to carry out A&A work on electrical installation, such as replacing equipment/apparatus, switchboard components, cables, etc.

Job Description

• Understanding of Project Specifications, construction drawings and to ensure that all site activities comply with the regulations and client’s requirements
• Monitor site works to ensure the method statements and work procedure are strictly followed.
• Competent in carrying out supervision of structural works by identifying any non-conformity of contractor’s work site
• Ensure the Builder (incl. technical supervisors) executes the work in accordance to Consultant’s instructions
• Check drawings for discrepancies and highlight to Consultant, suggesting possible solutions to prevent delays
• Conduct quality inspections and quality control of materials used for the project
• To ensure proper documentation of site inspection records, safety records and approved /as-built drawings
• Maintaining and updating site records on progress of work, housekeeping and preparing reports
• Verify the contractors’ progress payment, claim in terms of work done and materials/equipment delivered and stored on site
• Witness all the inspection, testing and commissioning sessions performed by the contractors to ensure compliance with designs and specifications
• Report to project QP / Project Consultants Team on quality and progress
• Supervision of demolition of basement/foundation, ERSS construction and all other design works
• To manage & coordinate with the site supervisors (incl. RTO) with respect to C&S engineering works, architectural and M&E engineering works
• Possesses a complete understanding of local requirements, especially to comply with BCA's criteria for build-ability and safety assurance system
• To carry out regular site checks on Builder and ensure compliance on health and work safety in accordance with MOM
• To attend site, progress, variation and coordination meetings.

Requirements:

• min. Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in supervision of commercial buildings
• Resident Engineer Certificate accredited by IES / ACES is a must, candidate without RE certificate need not apply
• Conversant in statutory code and requirements
• Good team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills essential
