JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant ME Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a group of Manufacturing Engineers through planning, designing, implementing, and managing; integrated, productions and service delivery systems that assure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence and cost control within the production site. The Asst ME Engineering Manager will adopt as its goals profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and the continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Establish and clearly communicate all global, regional and site Manufacturing Engineering strategies to the ME Engineering team.

· Coach, mentor and train engineers with the Manufacturing Engineering team.

· Support recruitment and retainment of Manufacturing Engineering talent within the site.

· Report and drive improvement within the site through the monitoring of the key ME Engineering metrics.

· Develop and maintain the Manufacturing Engineering succession plan for the site.

· Insure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in accordance with the global, regional and site direction.

· Standardize the configuration of the systems used (e.g. SAP, MES, IEDB).

. Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity to support process improvement through the organization.

. Strong knowledge in NPI, High Level Assembly (HLA), Complex assemblies will be added advantages.

. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

· Key Requirements:

o Understanding and application of broad range of industrial engineering tools (ie. Work measurement, simulation, process mapping, and workstation design, operations research, etc.)

o Understanding of Jabil’s global strategies and direction

o Understanding of site’s facilities, capabilities and how they tie back to the Jabil strategies and direction

o Understanding of the complete Sales to Payment process

o Strong financial and analytical ability

o Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous improvements and cost reduction programs

o Strong communication skills

o Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Degree in Industrial Engineering , Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

· MS in Industrial Engineering or MBA preferred

· At least 7 years of working experience in the Manufacturing or related field, with a minimum of 2 year of supervisory experience

UMC is looking for a Defect Management (DM) Process Engineer to drive for Process Stability in defect reduction activities. You can pursue your passion in semiconductors engineering by utilizing cutting-edge and intelligent operating systems to assist with data analytics and inspection sampling strategy while staying under cycle time constraints. You will work closely with product and process owners to create and manage projects that address wafer and line yield issues.

Responsibilities

• Day to Day monitoring and ownership to timely address in-line defect abnormality escalation, handling and disposition
• Render support in Production ramp-up, New process implementation and process characterization for project success
• Evaluate and implement productivity projects for DM Production, Tool and Cost index improvement
• Define and deploy inspection tool recipes BKM to ensure detection capability
• Assist in Customer audits on inspection strategy deployment and execution
  Perform baseline defect improvement

Qualifications

• Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering , Electrical Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering and Physics
• Able to think critically with strong investigating skills
• Possess good communication skills
• Possess good time management skills as well as a strong sense of commitment
• Prior leadership or competition experience in school activities will be an advantage
• Candidates with at least 2 years of relevant prior working experience

Job responsibilities:

1. Familiar with the manufacturing process, equipment technology, and market trends in the semiconductor industry, combined with the company's existing equipment software and hardware advantages, develop a development roadmap for high-precision equipment products.
2. Build simulation models and input-output analysis models for sub micron level high-precision equipment, lead the team to fully integrate and introduce internal and external technical resources, and continuously develop equipment products with high technical barriers and industry competitive advantages;
3. Collaborate with the marketing department to develop a 3-5 year external sales strategy and sales plan for high-precision equipment products, lead the team to achieve sales and profit targets, and achieve excellent customer satisfaction;
4. Identify industry professionals, build and cultivate teams with sub micron level equipment research and development capabilities, manage team performance through data management, and train and motivate teams to achieve technological breakthroughs.

Job requirements:

1. Master's degree or above in automation design related majors; At least 8 years of experience in equipment development (such as semiconductor equipment modules) in the semiconductor industry, with excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (To work closely with Team in HQ)
2. Possess rich design theory and experience in sub micron level high-precision equipment, proficient in simulation model construction and input-output analysis model construction in the design process
3. Master the technology and market resources of the semiconductor industry, be familiar with the development trends of the semiconductor equipment market, and be good at mobilizing and introducing external priority talents and technologies;
4. Proficient in managing data analysis and process optimization skills, adept at outputting analysis and plan reports, and possessing excellent reporting abilities;
5. Excellent teamwork and management skills, strong cross departmental communication skills, strong logical thinking, and clear thinking.
