Job Description:

1. Perform maintenance tasks onboard vessels (mainly in harbour)
2. Perform maintenance works onboard vessels in shipyard occasionally
3. Perform maintenance works on shore-based systems
4. Perform defect troubleshoot till module/card level onboard vessels or shore-based systems
5. Perform repairs to modules and PCBA in workshop
6. Perform installation/removal work for equipment/systems
7. Perform refurbishment of electronics unit/assemblies
8. Perform technical admin work including quotations, closing jobs, service reports, etc.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree on Electronics Engineering/Telecommunication Engineering/ Digital and Network Engineering/ Mechatronics Engineering/IT/Software
• Aerospace Engineering certifications with Electronics Engineering modules may also apply
• RSN maintenance training certifications would be considered
• Working knowledge and experience working in on-board commercial and military vessels on Communications and Electronics systems
• Window or Linux OS administration (installation and troubleshooting) experience
• Working knowledge and experience on computer systems
• Understanding maintenance regime and basic experience in troubleshooting system till card level.
• Training would be provided if necessary
• Good interpersonal skill
• Good teamwork and discipline

Position: Firmware Testing Engineer/ System Storage exp (Contract – 12 months)

Location: Bendemeer

Working Hour: Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm

The responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Perform functional testing on SSD through execution of tests (both automated and manual)
• • Perform initial failure analysis and work with Validation engineers to resolve test failures
• • Modification of functional test scripts to achieve targeted test coverage
• • Perform debug and evaluation towards resolution of issues with Firmware engineers.
• • Participate in setting up of test environment and servers in preparation for validation.
• • Tabulate test results and generate report for continuous firmware health monitoring.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma/ Bachelor degree in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering would be an advantage
• Experience with OS installation, assembly and debug of laptop/desktop systems would be an advantage
• Experience with using Oscilloscope and Bus Analyzer will be beneficial
• Basic working knowledge with Windows and/or Linux OS
• Comfortable working in an ESD-protected lab environment.
• Knowledge of system storage and relationship to platform peripherals would be added advantage
