What you will do

• Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on our fleet of autonomous vehicles.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with the vehicles using diagnostics equipment and with support from colleagues
• Plan repair procedures using existing documentation and manuals, and own experience and intuition
• Concisely explain the nature of issues encountered, and present rectification plans to the wider team for action
• Test the successful functionality of mechanical, electrical and electronic parts and systems
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly routine checks for vehicle integrity
• Repair and replace any worn consumables such as brake pads and wheel bearings
• Work directly with the Electrical, Software and Safety Engineers to ensure the vehicles are operated in a safe and reliable manner

What we require from you

• Certified mechanic in Singapore
• Five years’ experience in automotive repair and maintenance
• Experience in electric vehicle automotive repair and maintenance
• Competent in diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic issues using standard service kits
• Competent in using diagnostics tools for troubleshooting electrical and electronic faults
• Inherent appreciation and understanding of vehicle safety

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

1. Remove and install engine components onto the engine/ module off-wing or on-wing
2. Perform troubleshooting, modification, and maintenance work off-wing or on-wing
3. Work performed using prescribed tools and equipment in accordance with approved technical data and relevant documents
4. Compliance of work to all relevant statutory, company regulations and standards operating procedures in ESD and SIAEC
5. May be assigned to perform boroscope inspection
6. May be assigned to work in engine shop environment or in field on-wing environment (including short-term deployment overseas to support Aircraft on Ground situations)
7. Any other tasks as assigned by superiors

Requirements:

1. Minimum NITEC in engineering and above
2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in aviation industry (experience in engine shop environment preferred)
3. Good understanding of airworthiness regulations and requirements e.g. FAA, EASA, CAAS and other NAAs
4. Experience and good understanding of QMS, SMS and AS9100, OHS45001
5. Capability or prior experience and training in Boroscope Inspection, Boroblend would be an added advantage
6. Familiarity of inspection methods, techniques and equipment would be an added advantage
7. Knowledge of problem resolution tools and LEAN will be advantageous.
8. Must be able and willing to work on shifts

Computer Skills:

1. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook will be advantageous.
