Job Description

• Perform general drafting work including (but not limited to) the detailing of civil, structural, architectural, and other related drawings based on preliminary concepts or sketches.
• The ability to do drafting with only discussion with engineers (without sketch) is an advantage.
• Preparation of 2D drawings on AutoCAD for civil, structural and architectural works.
• Preparation and/or update 3D model and generate fabrication drawings and MTOs.
• Preparation and review construction shop drawings.
• Preparation and review steel fabrication drawings.
• Support project team in case of design and technical concerns during construction.
• Collaborate with C&S team as well as overall project team.
• Perform occasional site visit to check actual conditions for engineering or check design compliance.
  

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Process/Oil & Gas or similar industry.
• Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply
• Proficiency in Drafting & Modelling software.
• AutoCAD proficiency is a must. Experienced in Modelling software such as Revit or Advance Steel is also required.
• Experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Technology Manager (TM) or immediate superior as assigned by the Management.
• To prepare basic and detailed engineering drawings such as P&ID, system layout, equipment drawings using AutoCAD, Solidworks or other drawing tools.
• To generate detailed engineering drawings BOQ’s out of specification from Process Engineers.
• To maintain engineering drawing database for quick turnaround of engineering drawing for sales and construction purposes.
• Responsible for preparation of drawings for proposals, ongoing projects and as built drawings to the satisfaction of internal and external customers. Internal customers include all the project engineers, managers and other Verantis offices.
• When assigned on site, you will be reporting site drawings progress to customers/ consultants to their satisfaction.
• Designer’s job is normally assigned to office. However, company may assign on site responsibilities when it is necessary. This may include overseas projects and travel as well.
• Record customer complaints/ feedback and carryout necessary corrective and preventive measures to the satisfaction of customer and management with regards to design and drawings.

1、Job responsibilities:

1）Responsible for the design of process pipelines in chemical/pharmaceutical design projects, including the preparation of pipeline layout plans, pipeline material grade tables, pipeline axonometric drawings, pipeline orientation diagrams, and tables of Pipe Supports.

2）Cooperate with other relevant specialties to jointly carry out project design work.

1）Language: Accessible communication in Chinese and English;

2）Chemical Engineering and Process, Pharmaceutical Engineering or other related specialties.

3）Proficient in chemical process or pharmaceutical engineering specialties design knowledge, and able to proficiently apply design software such as CAD.

This position is an integral part of the NuStar Technologies Team and will be responsible for 3D Modelling using SolidWorks, product design layouts, component and assembly drawings, installation sequence and system stack up drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Create 3D CAD solid modelling using SolidWorks from design sketches, markups or other references
• Create product layouts, 2D detail assembly and sequence drawings and BOM’s in conformance to applicable design drafting standards
• Conduct dimensional tolerance study to ensure proper assembly fit and function according to design requirements
• Perform basic level engineering calculations and develop basic understanding of mechanical engineering design principles
• Participate in customer, project and design review meetings relating to project assignments
• Prepare and submit time estimates for review before assigned work is initiated

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Ability to handle drafting and modelling software
• Knowledge of standard drafting techniques per ANSI Y 14.5
• Knowledge and expertise in analysis and design tools is preferred
• Candidates with work experience in the 2D/3D drafting using SolidWorks will be an advantage
• Able to work as a team with other Drafters, Designers and Engineers.
