Our client is a well-known player in the oil and gas industry and has a strong presence in Asia. They are currently seeking to hire a Systems Engineer (Network Infra and Security).

Key Responsibilities:

• Involved in IT projects and operations, overseeing the setup and administration of Network Infrastructure and Security.
• Manage the organization's Network Infrastructure, including routers, switches, and load balancers, to meet operational needs.
• Implement security protocols, such as firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems, to protect against cyber threats.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of the Network Infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct regular maintenance tasks to optimize network operation.
• Perform security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
• Respond promptly to network emergencies or security incidents.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network infrastructure.
• Assess and secure cloud environments, implementing controls to mitigate risks.
• Apply security measures and best practices to safeguard cloud-based services and data.

Requirements:

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field
• Experience: 3 years and aboce in Network operational and administrative supporting routers, Switches, WLAN and Network Security
• Extensive expertise in network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, VLANS, VPNs, OSPF, BGP, and routing/switching.
• Proficient in utilizing network equipment from leading vendors such as Palo Alto, Checkpoint, TrendMicro, Aruba, and Fortinet.
• Thorough understanding of security best practices, encompassing encryption, access controls, SIEM, and vulnerability & patch management.
• Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues. Experience in leading IT projects and contributing to their successful implementation.
• Providing round-the-clock support for IT Infrastructure, including standby availability for incident or service calls.
• Good experience and knowledge with Windows Server are preferred.
• Good in Network, Systems, Servers Linux, and Virtualization.

Responsibilities

To be responsible for reliability, availability, user experience, capacity planning, toil reduction, process enhancement and digitalization of the cloud-based internet services.

Handle SRE role for assigned cloud services owning the KPIs for reliability, issue to resolution, service deployment, business continuity management, security policy planning, capacity planning, toil reduction through automation.

Introduce service governance initiatives based on latest technologies to consistently increase reliability and user experience components of Huawei mobile services on cloud to provide world class user experience with high reliability.

Effectively utilize our world class AIOPS and autonomous service governance platform to ideate new ways to streamline process, accuracy of alerts, time series-based trend analysis, anomaly detection, risk identifications.

Support platform/service expansions, migrations to new architectures, upgrades and drill activities across different technology domains.

Incorporate mature chaos engineering for risk identification, IPDRR for security, comprehensive automation frameworks to reduce ops effort to reach lowest possible level and make time, space for engineering related focus for the team.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor/Master of computer science engineering or related majors

Have knowledge of Linux, Network, Database, Containers, Container management systems, etc.

Have knowledge of at least one programming language or scripting such as Java, Python, Shell, Ansible, Terraform

Have knowledge in big data analytics.

Explored new technology trends, opensource technologies, methodologies in internet service domain.

Job Description

• Process/ mechanical design for process plant (Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Treatment Plant, etc) including mass balance, process flow diagram (PFD), P&ID, equipment layout, sizing calculation, equipment specification/data sheet, etc.
• Provide process / mechanical input and coordinate with other disciplines (including the BIM modelling team) for the design, installation and T&C work;
• Technical review of equipment/system vendors’ proposal and submission during procurement detailed design and installation stages;
• Prepare the process / mechanical submissions and resubmissions to project consultants and client according to project schedule and clear the submittal comments;
• Manage the equipment suppliers / subcontractors to meet the project schedule for design, installation and testing & commissioning;
• Support on the testing and commissioning work.

Requirements

• Able to work in Tuas area.
• Minimum bachelor degree in chemical/Environmental/Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 Years’ experience in process/mechanical design of water/wastewater treatment plant (design experience in the flue gas desulphurization (FGD) wastewater system/plant (or similar system/plant) would be advantageous); For senior position, candidate must have at least 8 years of relevant experience
• Familiar with relevant standard and Singapore code of practice
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, take independent action, and provide focused solutions to assigned projects.
• Possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
• Must have advanced computer literacy in commonly used software applications such as MS Office.
• Knowledge in Naviswork and Bentley View Software will be an added advantage.
