The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT), National University of Singapore is looking for researchers and engineers to develop next generation quantum computers based on trapped ions. • Organise and lead meetings for design and construction; monitor and manages budgets; writes reports; and carries out additional administrative duties associated with the projects that are allocated
• Oversee mechanical scope planning, consulting coordination, and document control, including tracking sample submissions and drawing approval status
• Coordinate, organise, and prepare method statements, job hazards analysis and other prerequisites documents for mechanical equipment installation at site
• Oversee mechanical scope such as piping and equipment fabrication and installation, communicate with clients and subcontractors regarding issues, and guarantee the highest levels of workmanship
• Provide the mechanical designers with technical guidance on requirements
• Organise and/or participate in subcontractor and consultant meetings

Requirements

• Min diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Min 3 years of construction experience
• Proficient in English writing and speaking.
• Microsoft application (words, excel, ppt etc)

• Identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements

• Designing and developing prototypes

• Analyzing and testing prototypes and each revision of a device

• Supervising the development of computer-aided design (CAD) project drawings from junior team members

• Developing, initiating and managing all phases of projects

• Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors

• Collaborating with Production Managers for proper allocation and tracking of resources

Job Summary

Responsible in providing general direction towards a successful completion of a project, ensuring the disciplines follow the quality standard set forth by the company. The job entails but not limited to identification of critical aspects of project execution and addresses them before they manifest as problems; verification and management of manhour consumption of different disciplines during the project execution.

The Roles:

• Manage Project 3~20 million and above.
• Facilitate job interfacing with various disciplines, procurement and construction group.
• Conduct contract reviews, risk analysis and contingency plan.
• Organize proposal / project task force and staff allocation.
• Set project policy for quality, safety, cost and schedule.
• Initiate kick-off meeting with clients and internal disciplines.
• Prepare overall budget cost plan and analysis.
• Monitor and analyze project operation and schedule.
• Coordinate EPC cost estimation.
• Represent the company to client.
• Control project documents and design changes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering preferred with at least 8 years of experience or equivalent.
• Have good knowledge of all disciplines, including Process Technical knowledge.
• Good Knowledge in Basic Design and P&ID.
• Solid track record in EPC Project Management in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry.
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of project management, front-end engineering and relevant project planning and scheduling tools preferred.
• An effective team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong presentation, technical, analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to initiate plans and carry out all assignments professionally, diligently and expeditiously in accordance with established company procedures.
• Proven Leadership and Management skills.

Job Description

- Document all inspections and tests performed.

- Address any issues that arise during the replacement process, providing solutions in real-time.

- Analyse potential risks and develop contingency plans.

- Ensure that all systems are fully operational before declaring the job complete.

- Enforce safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment during the replacement process.
