Role Overview

The DevOps Engineer will be leading the development and adoption of automated software and Infrastructure delivery for TP ICAP’s platforms

The role requires a business minded, highly collaborative, team-focussed DevSecOps engineer with exceptional communication skills to work with developers in DevOps principles.

Role Responsibilities

· Support the business in adopting processes and techniques to support an agile delivery model

· Work with architects, developers, testers and operations to automate builds, deployment and release of applications running on-premise and cloud

· Engineer tooling required for CI/CD and observability to provide guidance on industry best practices for software deployment and development

· Assist and architect where appropriate Microservices using containerisation and serverless technologies

· Be the key automation driver for Environment management, logging and monitoring

· Engage with vendors and service providers to build strong relationships that can be leveraged by directly influencing products and services in the interest of the company, enabling the negotiation of favourable terms and extracting the best possible use of external resources

· To fulfil any additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Experience / Competences

Essential

· Deep and broad experience of AWS Cloud platform and services and ‘DevOps’ principles in general

· Platforms; Windows Server, Amazon Linux, RHEL, Ubuntu

· Programming language, proficiency in one of the following along with a working knowledge on the other, C# (.NET Framework/Core), Python, Java, JavaScript (Node.js), Ruby, C++

· Proficiency in at least one of the following scripting languages; Python, GO, PowerShell, Bash, Groovy

· Developer tooling; Full stack CI/CD, GitLab, Jenkins, CloudBees, Sonatype Nexus

· Knowledge and working experience of containerising application components including writing DockerFiles and container deployment manifests in EKS

· Deep understanding of pipelines as code

With the current influx of request for quotes and tenders, we are in need of hiring another person to help out with the works.

1. The candidate shall be independent and resourceful in their works which will commence from start of tender all the way to closing of projects.

2. Explore your tasks and responsibilities

· Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client

· Attend tender site show rounds

· Attend tender interviews

· Follows up on the pre and post-contract administration of projects assigned

· Reviews work specifications, take-off quantity, costing and liaise with contractors and suppliers

· Understands the contractual terms and works to ensure that other stakeholders such as Project Team Members, Accounts and Finance understands and complies with the terms

· Provides effective support to Project Team and establishing good working relationship with Project Managers, Clients, contractors and sub-contractors

· Assists in resolving contractual and commercial issues with clients, contractors and suppliers

· Co-ordinates the procurement of materials and suppliers for the projects and ensuring expenses within budget

· Assists to evaluate contractors and sub-contractors' bids and recommends awards for contracts as appropriate

· Monitors closely the project costs and puts up project cost reports on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis

· Ensures effective cost control of projects and that all purchases are within budgets

· Reporting progress to senior management

· Negotiates with vendors for cost reduction of purchases;

· Verifies all payments are in order before payments by Company;

3. This person shall have an opportunity to head his / her own team when the cell they work at expands.

4. Qualification

· At least 5-7 years’ experience in related field of work.

· At least a Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering in construction industry or related field of study or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying

· Strong time management and communication skills are essential to this role as well as computer literacy

· Ability to prepare reports and administer necessary paperwork.

· Very good knowledge of the SOPA.

· Be able to handle multiple jobs as well as tender at the same time.

· Have a good knowledge of sourcing and usage of materials as well as equipment

· Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders

· Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines

1. Oversee the works on equipment structures, installations, deployments, facilities, and

equipment being deployed at sites.

2. Plan and work out the resource provision requirements, work, schedule, and Standard

Operating Procedures (SOP) for works at sites.

4. Ensure that works are carried out accordingly to design, meeting the safety, health,

Job Responsibilities

• Report and assist Project Manager (PM) on project functions included but not limited to project management, site management, risk control management etc. to meet the project(s) goals.
• Assist Project Manager in project planning, implementation and to coordinate all construction works on the project site are in accordance to the master and detailed work program.
• Prepare, plan and submit project related documents, such as schedules, method statement, design plan, risk assessment, monthly report, etc.
• To supervise the execution of the construction works and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with contract specification/bills of quantities, construction drawings, company’s quality standards, Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) practices and all other contract document.
• To coordinate and liaise with Client’s representatives, relevant Authorities, Consultant, Subcontractors, Suppliers, etc. on all project aspects and need be, to provide all technical and non-technical resolutions followed by documentation.
• Liaise with client or consultant for site inspections, submission of necessary technical reports and ensure necessary records are maintained at site. Assist Contract department (QS) in verifying progress payments and claims from Contractors.
• Attend regular meetings with Client’s Representative, Consultants and/or Contractors and ensure the progress is on schedule
• Establish proper and effective document control system, maintain & conduct reviews of detail design drawings, project documents and specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by Professional Engineer Board
• 5 years’ experience in LTA (MRT or Road Projects)sewer and pipejacking or related experiences;
• minimum 5 years working experience in LTA,PUB projects;
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills;
• Good negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills;
• Resourceful, independent and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Additional skills in AutoCAD, Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project is advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

o Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Dell EMC PowerMax, PowerScale, PowerStore and hyperconverged systems (HCI) such as VxRail.

o 10+ years of experience as a Storage Engineer with a focus on Dell EMC enterprise storage

o Monitor and optimize storage performance, capacity, and health.

o Strong knowledge of storage protocols and technologies (FC, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS, etc.).

o Implement data backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity.

o Experience working on monitoring tools cisco DCNM, Storage Insights, Cloudiq, Insightiq.

o Experience working on Cisco and Brocade SAN

o Planning, coordinating and upgrading components of the storage products with software, hardware and code upgrades.
