About The Team

The TikTok Data Ecosystem Team has the vital role of crafting and implementing a storage solution for offline data in TikTok's recommendation system, which caters to more than a billion users. Their primary objectives are to guarantee system reliability, uninterrupted service, and seamless performance. They aim to create a storage and computing infrastructure that can adapt to various data sources within the recommendation system, accommodating diverse storage needs. Their ultimate goal is to deliver efficient, affordable data storage with easy-to-use data management tools for the recommendation, search, and advertising functions.

What you will be doing:

1. Design and implement an offline/real-time data architecture for large-scale recommendation systems.

2. Design and implement a flexible, scalable, stable, and high-performance storage system and computation model.

3. Troubleshoot production systems, and design and implement necessary mechanisms and tools to ensure the overall stability of production systems.

4. Build industry-leading distributed systems such as offline and online storage, batch, and stream processing frameworks, providing reliable infrastructure for massive data and large-scale business systems.

Qualifications

What you should have:

- Bachelor's Degree or above, majoring in Computer Science, or related fields, with 3+ years of experience building scalable systems;

- Proficiency in common big data processing systems like Spark/Flink at the source code level is required, with a preference for experience in customizing or extending these systems;

Team Introduction

The Business Infrastructure team aims to provide unified access layer and architecture depth services for the organisation's internal business lines and products. Based on the internal infrastructure, Volcano Engine (or other public clouds) has two types of Infrastructure providers and is responsible for the organisation's architecture stability, architecture disaster recovery and service experience.

The Cloud Platform direction is mainly responsible for building a cloud management platform, providing unified platform access and product matrix for all business lines, shielding the underlying private cloud or public cloud usage differences, and maintaining a consistent experience at the end of the R&D process. Build cloud migration and multi-cloud disaster recovery systems, promote the evolution of the company's architecture, and accelerate the process of business cloud migration.

What you will be doing:

1. Build a cloud management system, which has a general multi-cloud adaptation layer and improves the ecological capabilities of the R&D process.

2. Build a billing system, which establishes the cost analysis dashboard and cost optimization on the public cloud.

3. Build a cloud migration system, which automatically migrates large-scale microservices and storage clusters to the public cloud.

Qualifications

Job Purpose

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) combines software development and system leading to build and run distributed solutions in a secured multi-tier heterogeneous environment to safeguard, provide and continuously improve the software and systems behind the organization’s cloud platform solutions.

The Job

· Work closely with Cloud Portfolio Director and the Cloud Engagement Lead to derive and implement a technical roadmap that is align with the IT architecture and cloud strategy.

· Work closely with a team of engineers of different domains to implement new and enhanced services the cloud platform.

· Be the solution engineer for the cloud platform, which includes new services via IaC on IaaS across Hybrid Cloud.

· Leverages on software as the primary tool to optimizing systems, building infrastructure and removing mundane work through automation. Scale sustainably via automation and evolve services/solutions, leveraging IaaS across hybrid cloud to drive changes that improves reliability and velocity.

· Engages in and improves the full lifecycle of cloud platform solutions from design, deployment, operation and refinement with accuracy and in compliance with organization policies and security requirements.

· Automate repetitive tasks and optimize cloud operations.

3. Tech optimization includes CAP theorem, cache systems, various database governance, etc.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

1. Preferred experience in multi-datacenter architecture optimization, high concurrency and availability system design, and relational, kv and graph databases

2. Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, operating systems, and networks

3. Proficient in at least one programming language, familiar with microservices and common software architecture patterns

4. Capable of systematic problem-solving, excellent in abstracting issues, and possessing good communication skills and responsibility
