Job Description

Be a key personnel in system development and on-going usability

• Co-ordinate project activities and monitor project progress
• Assemble and test equipment and systems
• Install and commission systems
• Conduct user training

The job will also require the candidate to be on standby for system support if necessary. There will be rotation for the after-office hours standby within the team. Should the candidate be activated after office hours to provide system support, flexible working arrangements can be arranged for the following day.

Requirements

• Fresh graduates or experienced engineers who are constantly seeking challenges
• Diploma or NITEC in any of the following: Information Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any other related disciplines

EE Product Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the post-release product design change or improvement process, overseeing the validation and verification of the product.
• Implement quality assurance/control tools within the Design Quality Assurance scope, collaborating with the team.
• Ensure readiness of quality and manufacturing processes prior to mass production for a seamless launch.
• Incorporate and apply lessons learned from other/new products to enhance ongoing projects.
• Identify and manage Critical-To-Quality parameters, contributing innovative ideas for continuous improvement.
• Provide technical support in engineering design reviews, drawing evaluations, and specification assessments to mitigate risks and ensure products meet established quality standards.
• Utilize reliability engineering principles and tools to develop test setups for Reliability Laboratory testing, overseeing projects like HALT or ORT tests.
• Conduct troubleshooting for modules or reliability setups in the event of anomalies.
• Perform hands-on electrical circuit and mechanical failure analysis, applying procedures to identify failure locations and root causes.
• Take charge of corrective action activities, collaborating closely with stakeholders for prompt issue resolution.
• Generate a comprehensive Product Analysis Report in a timely manner and oversee the monitoring of product returns trends, working with production/product/design teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Apply industry-standard testing methodologies (SEM, EDX, FTIR, etc.) based on experience.
• Actively seek and implement process improvement ideas within the primary work area.
• Complete work in a timely manner and prioritize jobs according to requirements.

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, with preferred prior applicable experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience, particularly in Failure Analysis within an electronic environment.
• Preferred experience in a Quality or Design role within a Product Development environment.
• Broad technical background with the ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, service, and suppliers across various issues, including international collaboration.
• Good understanding of Electronic Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test processes.

Job Description

The Senior Firmware Engineer is responsible for designing and writing high quality code to support the development of the company's hardware products. The engineer will need to read schematics, read datasheets, and utilize both hardware and software debugging tools in order to complete projects. The engineer is expected to participate in the designing of solutions that meet customer needs, document the design, write clear concise code, comment code as appropriate, and create documentation outlining code functionality. All engineers are required to follow Brady’s development process which includes our iterative development process. Individuals will be Responsible for managing the development of large modules as part of a development team. Individuals may utilize other resources in development of technology needed for development of firmware.

Job Functions:

• Design, develop, code, and document larger modules as part of firmware projects and lead a small firmware project.
• Time estimate coding efforts for assigned deliverables.
• Work with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to develop larger firmware modules or a small complete project.
• Utilize C++ and object oriented coding techniques when developing code bases, follow coding standards and follow standard development best practices.
• Read schematics, utilize oscilloscopes, digital analyzers and other test equipment in the development and debugging of firmware designs.
• Analyze electrical designs to make sure it meets the firmware needs for the larger project.
• Develop UI/motor control firmware for embedded devices for assigned deliverables.
• Setup and use software code debuggers for specific processor development environments used in Brady printers.
• Direct internal and external resources in firmware development to deliver assigned modules.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Minimum degree in Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related field or equivalent experience

• Experience with implementing embedded operating systems such as Microsoft CE, QNX, Micrium, etc. on target hardware
• Demonstrated experience with C++ language programming
• Demonstrated knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design
