Your team:

You will be working within the Wealth Management Chief Digital and Information Office organization, primarily within the product and software development function. The team is responsible front-to-back of a suite of IT service and products sitting on the global Wealth Management platform. You will be working with a product base team located around the globe (including APAC and Europe)

Your expertise:

• Minimally 5 years of strong experience in Java development using Spring, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP services, Java 8 and common open source software
• Minimally 5 years of strong experience in front-end development using React, Angular or other frontend framework
• Experience and knowledge in cloud native development (especially Azure)
• Proven ability to produce secure, stable and good performing code and write optimized, clean code
• Ability to lead investigation of technical issues, both in a highly secured production environment as well as lower test environment
• Experience with agile methodologies, especially scrum, iterative development, automated testing and continuous release approaches

• experience working in a highly complex and integrated banking platform, ability to traverse and communicate with different teams to negotiate interface design as well as troubleshoot integration issues

The Opportunity

As a Principal Engineer in MLOps, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of machine learning operations across our platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in data platform, infrastructure & DevOps to ensure that machine learning workloads are easily & efficiently built and are seamlessly integrated into production environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and reproducibility

• Strong programming skills in languages such as Kotlin, Scala, Java and familiarity with Python & machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with MPP frameworks like Spark, Ray, Dask.
• Experience with Orchestration platforms such as KubeFlow & Airflow
• Experience with model life cycle management tools like MLFlow and Weights & Biases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical details to stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working in a large scale web company, with a multi-tenant data platform.
• Can perform deep research & take decisions on complex projects. Can easily toggle between running as a lone wolf and also works great as part of a pack
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

It’s Great If You Have

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in a technical field
• Experience with Kubernetes for effective container orchestration and scaling, as well as pipeline orchestration platform such as Airflow or Kubeflow
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and practices relevant to Back End and and Front End development

Key responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the end-to-end software development and support for all work related to projects, quarterly change requests, L3 production fixes. This includes software product implementation and administration, application design, development, implementation, testing and support. You will be expected to work on Kubernetes based platforms.

You will also be responsible for quality assurance of the team’s delivery in conformance with the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools. You will partner with other technology functions to help deliver required technology solutions.

Other responsibilities include:

- Create frameworks, technical features which helps in faster implementation of OpenShift Kubernetes based applications

- Carry out POCs involving new data technologies, new container platforms, sidecars, daemonsets

- Design and develop application frameworks for container integration
