The Role: Lead DevOps Engineer

The Team: S&P Global Market Intelligence team is a creative team of experts collaborating across divisions and driving continuous improvements in platform innovation and usability.

The Impact: Joining our team in Canada, the candidate will be responsible for supporting and expanding our cloud/on-premise infrastructure, monitoring and alerting frameworks, onboarding/migration projects, and interacting with the wider DevOps, QA, and development team.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with software development teams to improve application reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Provide BAU Production support, and resolve issues either spotted by monitoring or reported by users before causing business impact

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant DevOps and Software Engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications.
• Proven experience working with AWS cloud technologies, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiar with Git/Unix/Linux/PL/SQL skills (MongoDB experience preferred, good experience on scripting or coding would be a plus)
• Familiarity with monitoring solutions such as PagerDuty and other industry-standard tools.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying, resolving issues and raising improvement opportunities
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including experience speaking to technical and business audiences.
• Be able to work independently, or drive a group of people, to work on improvement projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, MongoDB certified
