ISCE2 is seeking a talented Research Engineer to be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team to develop next generation green and sustainable technology for the biomanufacturing of fine and specialty chemicals. This position offers an opportunity to work bioprocess and bioengineering to develop

scalable technologies for applications in green chemicals biomanufacturing. The ideal candidate is passionate about engineering biology for science and sustainability, self-motivated, organised, detail-oriented, enjoy laboratory work, and has excellent communication and teamwork skills. The successful candidate may be responsible for but not limited to:

• Molecular biology with emphasis on molecular cloning and DNA assembly
• Perform protein expression in bacterial systems, including molecular cloning, fermentation in bioreactors/shake flasks, and protein separation and immunoassays
• Design, plan and execute experiments based on proposed project scope
• Analyze data, interpret results and troubleshoot
• Presentation at regular project meetings and summarize results in reports
• Presentation and review of relevant literature
• Assist in the preparation of scientific communications; publications, figures and posters
• Perform general lab housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned by the manager

Requirements:

• BSc or Masters degree with some laboratory experience, preferably in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or Biological Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience
• Experience with bioreactors will be advantageous.
• Preferred hands-on experience with molecular cloning and bioanalytical techniques, such as PCR, SDS-PAGE, LC-MS, Western blot, ELISA or other immunoassays, etc.
• Team player who is self-motivated and enjoy applied research work in a multidisciplinary environment
• Adaptable to team-oriented goals and requirements
• Good problem-solving skills
• Rigorous data analysis and interpretation skills

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and realistic estimate for jobs as required in tender bids
• Source for suitable subcontractors for specialized jobs and complex work
• Prepare accurate an detailed invoicing to achieve fair and better contribution margins
• Liaise with Ship Repairs Manager and Project Supervisor on all quoted and additional jobs
• Assist Commercial Manager or his designate in with respect to discussion of invoices for completed projects with attending Owner Representatives
• Assess subcontractors’ invoices, discuss with relevant parties and conclude bill settlement within target timeframe

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering or related field
• 2 - 5 years’ relevant experience
• Good knowledge of marine and related industries
• Good estimating skills for repair jobs
• Good communication skills
• Good numerical acumen
• Ability to write well, especially in email correspondences

· To prepare project QA & QC related documentation for wind farm related Offshore Substation started from project execution , quality plan up to commissioning and offshore final acceptance

· To monitor and manage FAT including coordinate FAT date, FAT procedure, report up to punch list closing

· To perform internal and external coordination to meet project quality requirement as per project quality plan.

· To implement and monitor project quality related compliance.

· To conduct fabrication site inspection as required at designated fabrication site, at various construction stages.

· Respond to incoming requests for information, requests for proposals in a professional and creative manner.

Requirements

· Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Science/Engineering or equivalent

· Minimum 7 years professional experience with at least 5 years in Oil and Gas/ Wind Power Industry with experience

· Strong experience in Quality Management System

· Knowledge and familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 QMS

· Possess good communication skills both oral and written

· MS Office – Excel, Words, Power Point

· Mandarin speaking & reading will be advantage
