JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible to the direct Team Lead [TL] (or General Manager) for achieving the target profit of the respective book business plan through, including but not limited to:

1. Strategizing profit model of global trading for both physical and derivatives in addition to the Japanese, and Asian market and conducting it with adequate speculation and risk management (market price and credit).
2. Creating global trading flows and conducting necessary marketing activities i.e. transport /delivery / operations with international clients as well as Japanese, and Asian clients (such as refineries / utility companies / trading companies or importing companies etc.) in order to fulfill the respective book strategy.
3. Exploring business opportunities for bio fuels & feedstocks, and next-gen fuel / commodities to develop new scheme of energy commodity trading (bio feedstock sourcing and bio fuels sales) in response to the energy transition requirements in global energy trading.

• Acts as a resource to other TL/Senior Strategist in the area of your expertise with good network with international clients or ship owners as well as Japanese, and Asian clients;
• Support in handling insurance claims including liaising with internal and external parties (Insurers, Insurance Brokers, Ship owners, Agents, Surveyors etc.);
• Prepare and assist with legal correspondences for executing contract and other legal documentations in case of arbitration;
• Work closely with Operations team for vessel operations, vessel vetting, instructions on loading / discharging / inspections, demurrage management, cargo insurance matters, letter of credit and related troubleshooting;

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Good degree from a recognized University.
• Possess at least 6 years of working experience, which includes relevant working experience in trading business (energy commodities and/or bio fuels and/or bio feedstocks experience such as SAF, HVO, UCO, PFAD, POME, SBEO, etc. and/or next-gen fuels with knowledge of global decarbonizing policies, and project development/management of energy business area is preferred), but other relevant commodities experience may also be considered.
• Overseas working experience other than in Singapore if any is preferable.
• High level awareness of compliance and internal control.
• Basic risk analysis & management, hedging, economic evaluation, financial, credit and accounting knowledge of energy trading business.
• Good logistics/operational knowledge of physical commodity trading business, including maritime insurance claim experience/procedure.
• Good legalknowledge in Contract/Maritime law especially in energy trading business.
• Excellent English, and Japanese language skills, with the ability to logically comprehend a written document, and ability to write formal business correspondences for communication with clients (Japanese/International/local) and other Mitsui Group offices (i.e. Tokyo and other offices in the network).

Electrical Engineer

MAIN DUTIES:

• The successful candidate will be part of our Systems & Control team to support the project design and development, installation, commissioning and upgrading of factory automation equipment and other machine assemblies for customers in the various industries.
• Design and implement Electrical Schematic specific to customers and project requirements. Design may involve testers, robotics, vision, PC and PLC separately or in combination.
• Develop electrical designs to meet customers’ requirements or for prototype or development machines.
• Provide Electrical layout drawings and BOM.
• He / She will be involved in each phase of the electrical hardware development process right up to equipment buy-off including post technical support.
• To assist in planning, organizing, coordinating and implementing projects in timely manner to ensure schedules and customers’ requirements are met.
• Work closely with vendor for Electrical hardware installation, machine wiring and panel wiring.
• Prepare test procedures, Instruction and Operation manual and final documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consults with customers and/or other departments on project status, proposals and technical issues such as electrical system design and maintenance.
• Direct electrical hardware design and development of documentation.
• Designs application electrical hardware to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
• Develops and directs hardware system testing and validation procedures.
• Modifies existing hardware to correct errors, to adapt it to new software or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
• Consults with engineering staff to evaluate interface between electrical hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, Technology or an equivalent degree/diploma in a related technical field.
• Relevant experience working with multi-disciplined project teams, in an automation or system integration or manufacturing environment with exposure across various industries.
• Experience in electrical hardware design specializing in PC/PLC controller.
• Ability to work independently in designing and liaising with customers on technical specifications and requirements.
• Possess an excellent manufacturing or process engineering background, a superior mechanical aptitude and proven trouble-shooting skills.
• Experience in E3, Eplan, AutoCAD or Electrical CAD software.
• Good presentation and communication skills.
• Excellent project management ability.

Job Description:

A) Formulation, Lab Process and Research & Development

• Evaluating all starting materials from current and new sources to ensure they are fit to use in the product development and production.
• Customer visit to understand company's products application and line parameters.
• Support customer & business unit to perform technical support, product application trial & training when needed.
• Modify existing products to meet customers' new requirement
• Based on research from Marketing team, develop new product and take charge of the product development cycle from research and development, product testing, certification to product support.
• Support and supervise pilot batches, product launches and field trials.
• Develop and maintain a systematic approach to routine price review, re-evaluation, sourcing and price / technical comparison to ensure company’s portfolio is optimised.

B ) Production Support / QC Lab equipment maintenance and upgrading

• Responsible for day-to-day activities in the lab.
• Ensure Compliance Company and regulatory standards and procedures.
• Implement proper EHS for production site and maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Responsible for all necessary laboratory administration, including upkeeping equipment and safety standards.
• Follow production process to introduce changes from formula change, process change and others to production in optimising the product performance.
• Support defective batch solution or raw material shelf life extension and product transfer.
• In charge of production QA / QC control for incoming raw materials and finished product.
• Address customer complaint and feedback.

C) Planning and Progress Reporting

• Plan, implement and update projects on a regular basis independently.
• Seek alignment on timeline and milestones with stakeholders.
• Document material and product information in a precise and timely manner.
• Produce well-organized report as output for every project handled Lab process concept with good understanding of the consequence of upscaling to production.
• Be informed of the market development that is happening in our construction chemical industry and bring it up in company meetings.
• Raise any improvement / recommendation to the company to help you and your role in doing things better.
