Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and develop repair processes for Component Repair New Product Introduction (NPI) independently.
• Generate manufacturing routers and instructions, Repair Source Substantiation packages, and other documentation required for industrialization and approval.

Required Qualifications

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines
• At least 3 years of data engineering or data application software engineering experience
• Experience in object-oriented design, coding and test patterns as well as experience in engineering software platforms and large-scale data infrastructure
• Hands-on working experience with big data systems (Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark)
• Extensive knowledge in SQL, Scala and Python programming languages
• Experienced in Microsoft stack of analytics products (SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Warehouse, Integration Services, Data Quality, Master Data Services, Power BI, Fabric)

Product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Partner and engage with Operations and Engineering teams to facilitate and drive robust RCCA in order to reduce Customer Disruptions and improve customer satisfaction.
• Partner and engage with Operations and Engineering teams to facilitate and drive robust RCCA in order to reduce Workmanship/ WIP Losses, Rework and Turnbacks, and improve FTY, delivery performance, and COQ.
• Partner and engage with Operations/Engineering teams to facilitate and drive avoidance of repair-induced Departures.
• Track and monitor quality metrics (Yield, Losses, Escapes), and perform trend analysis to identify systemic improvement opportunities.
• Drive engagement & training of inspectors and certifying staff to ensure disposition & inspection
• Drive engagement and participation in Lean and quality improvement across the site.
• Drive and promote Quality culture and participate in EHS and other shop initiatives as necessary.
• Act as focal point for all quality matters and clarifications for the business unit.
• Support internal audits and perform CAR verifications.
• Support, review and approval of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Process Change Notice (PCN) initiatives.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Material Engineering from an accredited university or college (or equivalent)
• Candidate with relevant aerospace experience in repair/manufacturing processes or quality assurance role has added advantage.

• Good command of written and spoken English
• Basic proficiency with of PC tools and software (e.g. Microsoft Office)

Desired Characteristics:

The Manufacturing Engineer – NPI is responsible for the timely development and industrialization of Component Repair New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, working with relevant functional teams, and ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives are met.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and develop repair processes for Component Repair New Product Introduction (NPI)
• Generate manufacturing routers and instructions, Repair Source Substantiation packages, and other documentation required for industrialization and approval.
• Lead resolution of technical and operational challenges or concerns raised, and ensure follow through till approval is obtained and repair is handed over to shop operations.
• Work closely with the Repair Development and Delivery team in Singapore, USA & other global sites, during the NPI repair development phase & industrialization.
• Manage multiple NPI projects by providing scheduling, resource management, budget control and EHS compliance.
• Lead and effectively interface with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and other support teams during NPI repair industrialization in the Shop, and ensure that it meets Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity objectives, within schedule and budget.
• Interface with vendors and internal functions in an effective manner to ensure that the action items to be carried out for the NPI are executed on time and on budget.
• Assure that all engineering designs and technical data are completed and accurately documented to provide an accurate technical/historical base for future reference and to meet customer / end user requirements.
• Participate in Lean initiatives, including continuous improvement of processes, and utilize Six Sigma tools for NPI process improvements.
• Implement new technology and/or process improvements to increase productivity of new repair processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Mechanical / Aeronautical / Material or other relevant Engineering discipline with 4 years of relevant experience.

Desired Characteristics

• Good understanding of manufacturing and inspection tools and processes used in the repair industry – heat treat, thermal spray, peening, welding, machining, etc.
• Working knowledge of blueprints, application of engine manuals and technical substantiation process will be an advantage.
