The Incumbent will:

• Developing and installing software solutions.

• Designing, implementing and delivering high quality Software projects in JAVA, SQL / Oracle, J2EE and

other JAVA technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in detailed level in design, coding, code walk through, peer code reviews and unit testing,

System Testing, UAT, Demos, POCs, installation, maintenance of Software modules.

• Ensures the preparation in the following:

--Software Prototype

--System Architecture, Software Design Document

--User interfaces to be developed as per UX guidelines

--Code files ensuring coding guidelines followed

--Code review artefacts during peer code review

--Test plan and Test Cases

--Installation / Deployment document

• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentations, flowcharts, layouts, diagram,

charts, and code. comments and clear code; Ensuring that project task is completed in defined effort and

timelines.

• Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards &

programming.

• Testing: Writing of test cases, unit testing, system testing, negative testing

• Trouble shooting: Log analysis and database query optimization.

• Improves operations by conducting system analysis. • Updates job knowledge by studying state of the art development tools, programming techniques & computing equipment; participates in educational opportunities, reads professional publications & maintains personal networks.

• Protects operations by keeping information confidential. • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, summarizing development & service issues.

• Develops software solution by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying system flow, data usage and work processes, investigating problem areas, following delivery cycle.

Desired Profile:

• B.E/B. Tech. -CS/ IT/ MCA, M.Tech or Equivalent degree from a reputed institute preferred, with 2-4 years of relevant industry experience across a wide variety of development projects.

• Knowledge of current technological trends in the Software development industry, such as OOP’s, Multi-Tier Software development, Component Architecture, Web Based Software

• Knowledge of system integration issues.

• Ability to gather and analyze data and draw logical conclusions.

• Should have adequate programming skills and proficiency in JAVA, JSP, Servlets, EJB, SQL/Oracle, J2EE / other JAVA technologies.

Role Overview

The Solution Engineer is the primary technical and product expert for Revinate’s salesforce. You will support the sales team by understanding complex customer business problems and requirements and articulate those into solutions. Utilizes strong hospitality domain knowledge and experience to provide a consultative approach to understanding client needs and then architecting, documenting, presenting and demonstrating software and services solutions. As a Solution Engineer, you will collaborate with Product Management and Product Marketing to deliver the right solution and high quality products to Revinate clients in easy-to-understand terms. You will be the bridge between the sales team and technical team during implementation to ensure a successful launch. This position will require travel to support business development activities such as conferences, tradeshows and client presentations.

What You’ll Do

• Product and technical expert for the sales team and clients
• Provide clarity and leadership in prospect and client engagements of direct revenue-generating solutions and associated value propositions
• Design the appropriate solutions within Revinate products and features and, where appropriate, involve partner solutions as well
• Deliver high quality demos with clear objectives, success criteria and scope control (where required) to successfully position the value of Revinate solutions
• Respond to RFIs and RFPs and build a repository of the latest product knowledge
• Draft and present business case data for client requested product enhancements, including identification of business impact to product management
• Own technical sales FAQs and make sure that answers to technology questions (e.g. availability, disaster recovery, PCI) are consistent and derived from current and accurate data from Product Management and the Infrastructure team
• Consult early in the sales process with Product Management on one-off opportunities to ensure customer expectations are well met
• Act as a key account strategist; using ability to reference past client solution approaches to enable successful orchestration of new partnerships
• Assist with product training and onboarding of new sales reps
• Travel throughout sales territory, as needed
• Represent Revinate at business development events, as needed

Infrastructure Management

•Drive infra project life cycle – Server provisioning to Cutover.

•Work with infra and app teams on requirement gathering to implementation.

•Review and analyze infrastructure architecture and identify the gaps.

•Perform RHEL OS patching and other administration tasks for cloud projects

•Guide app team to troubleshoot infra related issues.

•Be the SME for Linux administration and automation.

Operation & Process:

•Prepares technical project plans for new initiatives in BAU

•Collaborates with Application teams and other infra teams to develop technical solutions and enhancements.

•Drive the on boarding of new applications on to the production environment.

Requiements

•At least 4-7 years of relevant Infrastructure support and OS administration

•Minimum 3 years hands-on working experience managing production application support

•Knowledge in MQ, Elastic Search, AWS would be preferred

•Hands-on experience in RHEL 6/7 OS patching, administration and shell scripting.

• Implement software development/support for automated computer vision equipment.
• Participate in Software Development Life Cycle.
